five-oh

(redirected from five o)

five-oh

The police. The term comes from the TV show Hawaii Five-0, about police officers in Hawaii, the fiftieth (50th) state. The five-oh are closing in on us—how are we going to avoid being arrested? Don't you hear those sirens? We've gotta hide from the five-oh! Eh, the five-oh just brought me in for questioning because of my record. I had nothing to do with this robbery, though.
