Badger, Walter Lucius

(1886–1958) chemical engineer; born in Minneapolis, Minn. He was noted for his work on the desalinization of sea water at Detroit Edison (1917–37). He was affiliated with the University of Minnesota (1912–37) and was subsequently an engineering consultant to Dow Chemical Company (1937–44) and numerous other companies.
