Things To Do

Here are some tasks awaiting attention:
  • Copyedit : Any articles with "attention needed"
  • Infobox : Make Infoboxes for Robotics articles which need robotics standards
  • Stubs : 213 stubs exist of which around 50% could be improved to Start-class
  • Update : Begin tagging and assessing all related robotics articles with project banner, located on the Template page.

Peer Review

[edit]

Peer review requests in addition to article reassessment requests can be made here.

Assessment requests

[edit]

Make new requests on assessment/re-assessment of the article of choice by listing via typing (# [["Title of article"]], Reason: "reason". ~~~~) below. Make sure new requests go on the bottom of the list.

  3. Robot Operating System, Reason: Large restructuring and updates to the article and I'd like to know where to go from here/if my edits were an improvement. ApprehensiveAndroid (talk) 07:39, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Botball, Reason: I would like to know what more I can do on this article to improve it and its content. Thank you. Midorihana~いいですね? はい! 07:40, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
 Done I'll reply on Botball's talk page. - Dan Dank55 (talk) 13:19, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Memristor, Reason: Has not yet been assessed.   — C M B J   19:55, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
checkYDone. Article has been assessed as B-Class with Low importance until article is further improved. - Jameson L. Tai talkcontribs 01:56, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Robot software, Reason: This messy article is unassessed. Utopianfiat (talk) 21:05, 8 November 2009 (UTC)  Done Quick assessment done - will take a deeper look later this evening. Chaosdruid (talk) 21:08, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Gittins index, Reason: I think it should be B-class 217.238.209.29 (talk) 12:55, 18 July 2010 (UTC)  Done Left at Start as the article is in a bit of a state copy wise. Needs copyediting and checking before B class could be assigned. Will check in more depth later this evening Chaosdruid (talk) 21:08, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  1. I would like to request a re-assessment of this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_description_language. I've made a few changes based on a survey paper I wrote. Kikoso (talk) 14:34, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Chaosdruid (talk) 22:27, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  1. FIRST Lego League, Reason: I think this article may be above start-class and I want to improve it (along with all FIRST articles). Chris857 (talk) 01:36, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - I have had a quick look. Please remember that the robotics project does not use the "C" class in assessments (though it may change in the future). For the article assessment to change it would have to meet "B" class criteria.
There appears to be a problem with the FIRST LEGO league websites so I will take another look over the weekend when, hopefully, the sites have returned. Chaosdruid (talk) 16:57, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It appears that both usfirst.org and firstlegoleague.org are having difficulty. Chris857 (talk) 19:17, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Cluster analysis, Reason: I spent a lot of time into restructuring this article; many sections have been split or merged out into other articles (such as hierarchical clustering, fuzzy clustering, spectral clustering), and I've tried to bring the article back to the general topic of cluster analysis much more, giving an overview of key concepts and shortening the section of applications. While I plan to add a more "visual" explanation of what cluster analysis is, I believe the article has improved significantly over the last half year (compare: [1]) and might now deserves a B rating again. And of course, I'd welcome some feedback on structuring the article and what you think is missing to further improve it! Thank you. --Chire (talk) 17:24, 8 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done Left, as a massive list in the middle of the article should probably be moved to a stand-alone list article. Chaosdruid (talk) 14:28, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Mean-shift, Reason: I added some formulas and usage examples that offer meaningful content on the technique. I believe this qualifies it for start-class. --Akats, 18 Oct 2011
 Done -> Start Chaosdruid (talk) 14:28, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  1. RoboCup Junior, Reason: I fixed up and updated a lot of the incorrect information from the page. I also removed the comparison to FLL as (a) it is no longer valid (b) it was unreferenced and (c) it isn't really a valid comparison. As recommended by Chaosdruid, we should review the grading of this article. Wheelandbolt (talk) 00:35, 23 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done Left as needs some more work for B Chaosdruid (talk) 14:28, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
