Frederick Henry missing

[edit]

I miss Frederick Henry and William II in the list of stadtholders of Groningen and Drenthe. Unless I am very much mistaken (and in that case Jonathan Israel, for one, is mistaken also) Frederick Henry managed to wrestle away the stadtholdership from the Nassau-Dietz family in 1640 after the death of Henry Casimir I. Only after the death of William II did Willem Frederik manage to get the stadtholdership of Groningen and Drenthe back in the family (Friesland had remained faithful throughout).--Ereunetes (talk) 21:47, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and added Frederick Henry and William II to the template. See e.g. Jonathan Israel, The Dutch Republic. Its Rise, Greatness, and Fall. Oxford U.P. 1995, pp. 538-539, for an English language source. See also the article by Jansen, linked to Willem Frederik of Nassau-Dietz.--Ereunetes (talk) 20:54, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
