Most famous driver

[edit]

I've added a citation tag to the "Most famous driver" line, but frankly I think it should be removed absent any substantiation. The editor who made it, "Britney weise", has made exactly one edit to Wikipedia and does not now seem to exist. 94.193.22.49 (talk) 21:32, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good spot. As there are precisely zero ghits for "Christopher George William Groth" other than Wikipedia or Wikipedia mirrors, I've removed that sentence completely as it's not verifiable and most likely vandalism. Good catch. Thryduulf (talk) 23:41, 23 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

CN on recent mechanical problems

[edit]

I've dug up an issue of Steam Railway with a cite for the recent mechanical problems. Will update over the weekend. Pinkbeast (talk) 15:25, 15 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I want Sir Nigel Gresley to steam again.

[edit]

I want Sir Nigel Gresley to be back in Garter Blue livery, with the LNER letters on the tenders, carrying the number 4498, and steam again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.218.47.204 (talk) 20:18, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I want Sir Nigel Gresley as No. 4498.

[edit]

I hope at the Llangollen Railway that Sir Nigel Gresley will be restored to full working and repainted and garter blue livery as L.N.E.R. No. 4498. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.126.168.0 (talk) 17:17, 18 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's good to have Sir Nigel Gresley back.

[edit]

Sir Nigel Gresley is happy to be back in business and I want the engine to be repainted in its striking L.N.E.R. garter blue livery as No. 4498. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7E:4285:3C00:C9C0:E73C:54DD:E188 (talk) 20:50, 3 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
