Nissan Bluebird going over the cliff

[edit]

Re the moratorium contract signed on a Nissan which they claimed was pushed over a cliff (K Foundation (8 December 1995). "Cape Wrath". The Guardian (advertisement). Archived (via the Library of Mu) on 16 September 2016.Wikipedia:WikiProject The KLF/LibraryOfMu/519)

Looks like this actually happened (archive.org). I wonder if any local papers picked up the story? It can't be every day a car goes over a cliff? --kingboyk (talk) 23:47, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Equivalent amount in 2020/21?

[edit]

Hi, had a quick go on the bank of england inflation calculator and apparently £1m in 1994 is worth about £2,034,000 in 2020. I'd rather not go and make some clumsy edit in the opening paragraph but is it worth mentioning in the article? £1m is obviously a huge amount back then but I'd no idea it was worth £2m in today's money, possibly worth mentioning in the article just to give more weight(?) to the amount burnt??
