Taiwanese in Cambodia in 1667?

[edit]

Although I don't know the history of Indochina, this appears to be either an error or vandalism:

Around a thousand Vietnamese were slaughtered in 1667 in Cambodia at the hands of Taiwanese.

China

[edit]

The English is very bad in this section. And it wasn't mainland China that dominated Vietnam. The concept of mainland China only started to exist after 1949. It was Chinese dynasties. --2.246.83.179 (talk) 18:23, 19 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Propaganda article

[edit]

This article is a pure propaganda article. Most of the information is erroneous and not backed by fact, just by the vietnamese victimology. Dates are wrong, it's poorly documented and sourced, it should just be removed. There is nothing such "anti-vietnamses sentiment", just, some people don't like the vietnamese, some people like the vietnamese, that's it. If this article is to stay, we should create an article to talk about the deep racism of the vietnamese themselves, their way to hate chinese, cambodian, lao, westerns, arabs or blacks… The way they exterminated most of the ethnic people of center and southern vietnam during their colonisation of what is today called vietnam, 300 hundred years ago. Please stop to joke with history wikipedia. BTW, Anamites was not a bad name, it was just the name of people living in Annam. If you check carefully, Vietnam is a young country that did not exist 300 years ago. At the time of french colonial indochina, land here was called Annam and people living in Annam were the Annamites. Also if you look at it carefully, a lot of vietnamese in the west or even here in vietnam open shops and restaurants called "Annam". So if this was insulting, why that? This article is really a fake article. Should be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.161.93.92 (talk) 10:15, 25 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Shut up please. You think this is fake right? In Cambodia anti-Vietnam is obvious. Elsewhere in the Western world they hate Vietnamese more or less mostly from history with our current ideology of red, communism. In South Korea happened it a lot as they make enough crimes in our country Category:Vietnam War crimes_by South Korea . Exterminate most ethinic minorities? Are you nuts? There are total of 54 ethinic groups in the country, they played major role in Vietnamese history, so why we had to killed them all for? Dig the past of history is one of the fastest way to making hatred and racism, you know. And calling Annamite is purely racism from French as a way to control us and our resources, we might proud of the word Annam, but Annamite meaning insulting us. Also not all hate Chinese you know. Your response is absolutely retard, purely Vietnamophobia. This article must have stayed here to teach future generations why many countries had always wanted to wipe us from history. From many Chinese dynasties, toward all kinds of colonialism from France, Japan, The United States as well as kicking Khmer Rouge genocidal state from Cambodia as they dare to "Cap duon" us the same, perhaps more brutal methods than Lon Nol's state(Cap duon, in our country meaning beheaded Vietnamese is famous in Cambodia during Lon Nol and Khmer Rouge as a way to pogrom or murder Vietnamese within Cambodia), we had enough of suffering, all we want is peace and friendship, only to be stopped by such conservative morons like you. So shut up for good ok? Minhdead2205 (talk) 15:34, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The same can be said for literally every racial-ethnic groups. Beside, history of the Vietnamese have started thousands years ago, from Văn Lang, Âu Lạc, Lĩnh Nam, etc all the way to the Nguyễn dynasty then being colonized by France. Your statement is like saying China history only started from 1949 because that’s when the PRC established; or Cambodia history only started since 1993, after the pro-Vietnam state dissolved Daeva Trạc (talk) 17:21, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
