Nominees section opening prose

[edit]

I tagged it as original research. It could even be flowery/puffery:

Usually artists who chalk up many nominations also dominate the "Big Four" categories (Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist), but that's not the case with Jay Z. Although he received an Album of the Year nomination thanks to a small guest spot on Kendrick Lamar nominated album Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City, it's the Rap field which he's dominating, with at least one nomination in each of its four categories. He also received nominations in the Pop field (one) and Music Video field (two).

Jay Z is only the sixth artist to achieve at least nine nominations in one year. (Record holder remains Michael Jackson, who received 12 nominations in 1984).

Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Pharrell Williams all got seven nominations. Rap duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have come closest to "Big Four" dominance, with three nominations out of four categories (the only "Big Four" category they're missing out on is Record of the Year). They also received nominations in the Rap (three) and Music Video (one) fields. Pharrell Williams is the only artist to feature twice in two of the biggest categories, Album of the Year and Record of the Year.

The most successful nominee who is not a performing artist is sound engineer Bob Ludwig who received five nominations.

Yep,  added, thanks! Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 01:57, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[b]Daft Punk[/b] has won 3, not 4. The award for "Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical" does NOT go to the performing artist, and the members of Daft Punk are not credited as engineers on the album. 173.166.144.1 (talk) 04:30, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube celebrity intros

[edit]

As there are a few YouTube covers that were used in introducing the nominees, do you guys think it's necessary to include these artists and videos here?  dXterminator017 | (discuss)  17:16, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some Missing Content

[edit]

It looks like the user User:NraButtons may have accidentally removed quite a bit of content (See revision) a few days ago. Since the page is semi-protected I can't fix it. But you can still see some of the content missing on various parts of the page on the current revision. I think this is probably something that needs to be addressed.
