Rockerboy Johnny Silverhand has taken over my neural networks and now all that I think of all the time is SAMURAI !!! Just Joking! But Seriously @cyberpunkgame is one rocking game and the team at CD PROJEKT RED have done an amazing job developing a game like this. I just cannot wait for the reveal of the game In Night City Wire and the later release on November 19.
So until then I have decided to make use of that time making Cyberpunk 2077 Art and keeping up the hype and expectations I have for this game and to be absolutely honest I would seriously like some Goodies from cyberpunk 2077 lol!
Spoiler alert: I have never done graffiti art before and this is my first hand at it.

As a Cyberpunk 2077 “ Fan-atic !” I couldn’t contain my excitement at the new Tumblr Creates: Cyberpunk! challenge theme, GANGS OF NIGHT CITY. One of the most interesting things that I found about the whole premise of Night City were its gangs and the interesting people that came along with it.
I had so many ideas for the challenge that I decided to incorporate every single one of them in my artwork design :) ! I borrowed inspiration from street art, Graffiti, abstract paintings and a wee bit from Andy Warhol too. I wanted to create a lived-in kind of look with the artwork much like the setting in Night City where each gang has its own agenda but are also locked in on dispute with one other over conflicting ideals. I also wanted to portray the colorful people that inhabit Night City too. I think this looks better in real life than on picture, I am a really bad photographer lol! :l
If you are thinking about my allegiance it would probably be with the Animals, I think they would make for great Workout buddies lol !! One more thing: when you don’t have any Cyberpunk 2077 gear, you make your own! Time for some Animalistic gains!!

Right after revealing the theme for this month’s challenge, I knew I have to participate. THE GANGS! (My personal favourite is definitely Tiger Claws as I love Japanese culture. With their glowing neon tattoos and bikes and katanas… ah, so cool…)
It was awesome to gather more info about each gang and think about how to properly portray them.
I’m so happy there is still AAA game developer as you guys, at CDPR. Trying to give us the best of the best you can deliver, I’m really grateful… even for the delays ;D Keep up the awesome work!
Also I’m so happy I finished this on time, as I kinda wasn’t sure which way to go from the base concept. Only thing I’m a bit concerned about is maybe the f##k ton of colours I used, as my original plan was to keep the pictures separate XD but Night City is all full of colours, so it kinda looks good, amiright?

Honestly all the gangs are so cool it was hard to pick which one to focus on! I ended up going with that Tyger Claw guy from the steelbooks(who had to get recolored once I saw he was in the lore book) I’ve been working on this all month on and off, then practically forced myself to make a background since I almost never do those

here’s my entry for the @cyberpunkgame monthly challenge! i knew i wanted to create an original character for one of the gangs, and after doing a bit of research, the tyger claws were my choice!
there wasn’t a ton of concrete visual reference for the tyger claws at the time, so i had fun with taking extra creative liberties with certain design elements. roughly 12 hours later over the span of 4 days, and here’s kato’s finished design! i ended up incorporating a few elements we’ve already seen to make him feel more familiar to night city (such as the jacket pads seen on another tyger claws member, the neck detail seen on other tyger claws, the face mask design based off of the tyger claws logo, and the katana design from a female v render).
this is definitely the most time and effort i’ve put into any piece, and i genuinely hope it shows. i have a lot of passion for the cyberpunk 2077 universe already, and i know i’m not alone even just from looking at the rest of the entries (seriously, you choombas are all so creative)!
if anyone’s wondering, i split the drawing into two so clicking on each part would show more detail than if it were one giant piece. if you want to see it as one full piece, it’s been posted to both my twitter: @volante_diana and art instagram @valkyrie_illustrations (where i post my art weekly)!
