The decision to close The Evil Within, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks came down in April, which was already a gut punch, but it hits even harder when seen from the point of view of employees who called the studio home. On Friday, developer Takeo Kido shared images of the studio's final day at work.

Spotted by VGC, included were pictures of the lobby and reception of Tango's Tokyo office, boxed-up office equipment ready for removal, and an undeniably delicious-looking assortment of pizza, which presumably employees enjoyed as a last meal together.

Founded in 2010 by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, the studio was acquired by Bethesda parent company ZeniMax Media later that year. In 2021, it joined Xbox Game Studios when Microsoft acquired ZeniMax for $7.5 billion. Mikami himself would exit the studio in 2023.

Does the closure of Tango Gameworks feel more real now, in light of the obligatory corporate pizza offering? Let us know in the comments section below.
