682Mod 9: End of an Era

682Mod 9 is the start of my Garry's Mod 12 continuation project. I'm doing this because GMod 12 interests me personally. This means 682Mod is no longer a standalone mod and will be ported back to Source 2007. This is fine, as Source 2007 is compatible with Source 2013 maps, which was my main worry.

This is kind of an end to an era for 682Mod. No longer is it a janky, kind of barebones mod. It's now basically GMod 12 with my own personal twist.

What features will be in 682Mod 9?

All Garry's Mod 12 features. I'm keeping the bonus map ui to load singleplayer maps for now, since I want to keep the same look 682Mod has had for over a year now.

682Mod 9 will also have maps from various different Garry's Mod versions, as while it's a GMod 12 continuation project, it's also a GMod nostalgia mod.

Will 682Mod 9 still have original content (maps and such)?

Yes, my original maps that I made for 682Mod will stay, and will be going back to the Half-Life 2 style texturing aswell.

Here, I'm going to give special thanks to people who have given me support on 682Mod (formerly Cowl's Mod), tested it or genuinely had any interest in it at all.

  • Highschool english teacher - My highschool english teacher was actually one of the biggest supporters of 682Mod. He even tested the mod out in class a couple times and would ask me about development almost every time I walked in.
  • Colin - Colin is my step brother that I don't really talk to often anymore. But when I did, he would occasionally test my mod and actually said he liked it multiple times.
