I was inactive for about a month. I've returned. I was psychologically troubled these last months for various reasons, so for a short time I just wanted to walk away from all the responsibilities including the Daimyo Edition. I will start working on the new fixes shortly, I've already fixed some little things before I left off. I'll release the new patch as soon as I figure out the causes of some bugs. Thank you everyone for your patience!

Ah yes. If it wouldn't be too much of an inconvenience, which script is it that makes the AI use their polearms consistently?
Its Marty's script located in mission templates. I figure it doesnt work properly all the time, i probably use a similar script from diplomacy mod.
will there be more lords? because there's notable lord beside the clan leader, e.g : Nobuchika Chosokabe, Keiji Maeda, Ranmaru Mori etc.
Im sorry I couldnt get the quesiton. There are notable lords if you meant that. Theyre just there with there family names.
lords in gekokujo are their clan leader e.g Lord Maeda is Toshiie Maeda, but there is also a Maeda that serves Great Lord Oda (Nobunaga), Keiji Maeda (rumors has it that Keiji is as strong as Lord Honda (Tadakatsu)). What i'm saying is will you add more lords beside their clan leader?

No, im afraid. Japanese troops were all the same back then. Just like German and Bohemian principalities in Medieval Europe. Same country same units.
To be fair basically all troops looked the same in Europe during the middle ages.
Knights (almost) all had the same armor because it was the best, footmen all had similar armor because they couldn't afford better etc.

How can I use WSE ifmy M&B is steam version. I tried to download WSE v4.60 for 1.173 and place the WSE folder inside gekokujo folder. When I run WSE loader, it shows an error "could not find mb_warband.exe or mb_warband_dedicated.exe"
place it on warband folder
make sure you place WSELoader.exe in the folder where mb_warband.exe is located

My first priority is fixing the current bugs. The mod already has enormous amount of features and armors, helmets etc. But after I fix them I probably can add more items if I see fit. Thank you for your support, have fun! :)

excuse me. I'm just curious about this mod performance. My processor is core i7-7000, am i able to see like 500 units in one battleground without stutter or bottleneck performance? thank you.
You probably can play the game without any stutter. Unlike other mods, the armor models are very low-poly. The battles run much more smoother than native warband too. Im using an i5 myself with 8gb ram and a gtx 940 2gb. I play the mod on highest settings with 700 men battlesize and i get 40 to 60 fps. No lags or whatsoever.

I love your mod and play it very often. I thank you for such a masterpiece which surpasses vanilla Gekokujo by leaps and bounds.
I do have some questions.
I found a helmet with well over 200 head armor in one of my playthroughs at a cheap price of about 6000 mon. Is that intentional? Are there more rare and powerful pieces of armor to complement my helmet?
Also on my playthrough, I have taken on a claimant quest. Supporting a claimant to the date lord, I captured and killed Lord Date. Later, when persuading the date daimyo to join my rebel faction, they implied that they swore allegiance to who I assume is an underling of the late Great Lord Date, Lord Kakewa. Do the grudges between the Date daimyos and their new overlord remain the same as before when Great Lord Date occupied the throne?
Are we supposed to collect duplicates of new companion equipment?

I dont think wounds are healing.From 14 or so strength,all my years of combat has brought it down to 6.I didnt increase it at all.I rest in my towns for in game weeks and yet no wound recovery.
Hello! Few suggestions if thats okay. I would love to suggest 'more kabuto and armor variety, more weapon variety, more map variety' etc but I know it's likely that, while you would agree that those would be nice additions, you haven't the time for it. So, heres a slightly more realistic list of things that I would love to see as a longtime Gekokujo player!
1) Seeing the names of lords changed for clarity would be nice, but not detrimental. For example, instead of lord Ishida, lord Ishida Mitsunari. It isn't too critical of course, but I think it adds realism and aids immersion.
2) A way to disable injuries would be divine, or maybe less frequent injuries. I have suffered injuries that don't seem to heal in this mod and thus it causes me to retreat a battle the second I fall in fear of permanent stat loss. Then I sacrifice the renown and waste time!
3) More Jinbaori meshes/designs, notably giving some great lords the ones with the little fluff balls sewn on to the folded piece of cloth over the chest (sorry for my terminology)
4) I know I added map variety to the example of ambitious requests, but I can't help myself. I think the work you've done with custom scenes so far is incredible, but I have always believed Gekokujo to be lacking in its siege design and castle design. Simply a bit more clutter in castles and buildings/outlying villages in town sieges to make it feel more like an important siege would be very cool!
5) I would like to potentially see an extension of certain troop trees, specifically the troops you get at temples such as the Shingi Monk Gunners or Sato Returnee's. I would like to see, for example, a Sado Samurai that has a bit better stats, as I currently feel the temple troops are simply cannon fodder in bigger battles. However, this could easily destroy balance as these troops are free to hire and quite inexpensive to keep in your party, so I do not feel this is a must.
6) I think the skin texture used on men is... questionable. It looks like the skin suddenly became heavy as lead and left what I dare call striations - because they are no mere wrinkles - across the entire body. Again, not that important!
7) I would love to see more books in the game!
8) More colored armors would be great! I can only ever seem to find one white eboshi kabuto, which is a shame as I would love my companions to sport all white armor. Also, some simple robes being retextured and made into stronger armor to wear with no STR requirement would be great for my utility companions. I drag them with me as my strategists everywhere I go but they are all wearing the same black armor and Otani Yoshitsugu wrap+mempo (which by the way is one of the coolest armor pieces I have ever seen in M&B, so HUGE props to you/your team/whoever made it. Very good design and execution!!)
9) I am not sure if this is possible to do, so I do not ask that this be taken that seriously, but I think it would be cool if you could hire an assassin via your minister for, say, 10k mon and have them attempt to assassinate a lord inconspicuously. they would have a very low success rate, more often hurting/injuring the lord or causing commotion in the faction than killing him, but if the assassin were to fail, it would be an instant provocation to war and you would lose honor/relation with some honorable allies for your shady methods. And maybe you would have to send a companion with the assassins group, who could be captured and ransomed, and you could only do it every 3 months for balance! And it would be RNG based, not a unit on the map with 10 men that go and take on Honda Tadakatsu's 300-strong army and lose in seconds. Just a fantasy though, I imagine.

Also could you maybe add a Komuso and some monk robes to the game? Maybe they could be a new troop type expanding off of the Jimon Monk

1. The village of Tamba is near Kyoto, under water. Enemies respawn under water too. Who wants underwater battles)

This mod is broken for me. I tried redownloading it, extracting it via both 7-zip and WinRAR, and using WSE (both steam and non-steam versions). The mod allowed me to get to the scene where you help the Merchant of Ise, then broke at the start of the first battle (the one where you chase down the bandit group that the merchant sends you after). I tried another playthrough in which I avoided the merchant, but the first battle I entered, the game crashed. This has never happened with a mod before, and I am extremely disappointed that such a good looking mod is failing to work. I desperately need help with this issue.
To anyone having the same issue I had, I figured out how to fix it. Simply open the mount and blade launcher, go to configure, and check the box next to "load textures on demand".
Some questions unrelated to my previous plight:
1) Do you plan to release this on Steam workshop?
2) Could you offer a download in a .zip file format? I think that the .rar is somehow the source of my issues.

Now I can't start Gekokujo at all, and I'm really sad about that.

I decompressed the files overwriting each time every folder and every file.
When I launch Gekokujo crashes with that message:
"Unable to open file: Modules\Gekokujo - Daimyo Edition\Resource\gekokujo_interiors2.brf"
This happen if I decompress all files in that order or if I decompress only 1 and 5.
Wich Warband version is suitable for Gekokujo ?

I've forgotten the name of the mod that allows you to serve in the employ of samurai, but being captured in the employ of a samurai makes it so later on when you become Strategist, no lords will follow you. I've heard that the latest edition of the mod corrects this. When Daimyo edition first came out, the bug was still in effect. Do you know about this, and do you plan to correct it?
