Europe in Ruins is an award-winning multiplayer-only mod that takes the fast paced, intense and surreal combat that you've come to know from Company of Heroes and combines it with persistent environment,
ever changing meta-gameplay and ongoing war. The modification sees you creating and commanding your very own battalion in which you can customize with any
units and upgrades you wish; Company of Heroes strategy has never had so much choice. Not only do you get to build up your battalion, but as you units battle,
they will gain and retain all the experience they have earned, carrying over from battle to battle; going from green to elite! Not only do units gain veterancy, but
your battalion as a whole increases in effectiveness through doctrine unlocks and other advantages. Each of these unlocks are designed so that the player can
tailor their battalion to their own likes and play styles. The combinations choices are endless!
What is in this current release:
The mod is now available for direct download through steam. Once installed, you will be prompted to create an account in our launcher programme which will give you access to to the company builder, war campaign and battle lobby where you will get to create your first company and find other players to play against.
Europe in Ruins is an ever growing and expanding modification, with a very loyal and passionate fan base. We are still seeing active development, having just released an updated development roadmap that sets out an array of new warmap and gameplay changes in the not too distant future. We also have a dedicated community that is still playing the mod on a daily basis, meaning it should be easy for anyone to jump in and find a game at most times of the day.

so is this for the steam version I remember downloading this mod years ago and I nothing would show up as if I had to buy all models bases equipment etc
This mod is definitely NOT dead.
We are in a bit of a lull right now, as development lately has been focused on balancing the core units and doctrines, but I can't imagine that lasting much longer. The mod is especially active on the weekends.
If the updater doesn't install correctly for you, don't take anything it might say personally, (the EIRR team has a sense of humor.) In all likelihood, it's because CoH has shifted to the steam version, while the updater was originally designed for the CD version.
Make sure you install to your Company of Heroes Relaunch directory; for me it's...

I fixed my problem but I cant login I ush the plus sign it crashes I try to login with my steam name cause relic no longer exist and nothing works what do I need to do
As I said, this error is caused by improper installation to the CoH folder; most likely it is not quite where it needs to be. You need to install it to the exact directory I just described, to "Company of Heroes Relaunch", otherwise it will do exactly what you described.

hey um I have a question why isn't it working it says you installed your file in the wrong directory reinstall your company of heroes directory *******
The solution is to transform this into a coop vs AI gamemode, like total war series, that way everyone is going to have fun with the mod and not get frustrated when faceing über pro players that wont let you even move a unit and you're dead.
I tried to install the game but it says I downloaded it in the wrong folder then I watched the video in youtube and I did EVERYTHING u said in the video but it keeps saying the same thing and I rlly wanna play this but if u do the instalation this **** nobody is gonna play
