A xp/rank/reward/mobility modification with visual/sound/text notifications.
Doom Exp comes with its own settings menu, which has tons of adjustable settings to customize the game to your personal preference.
Edited Sounds & effects, Improved mobility (sliding, dashing, wall latching), More Gore - etc.
Changelog:
- Pistol start exits reset health back to 100.
- Archvile buffed. More HP and a alternate attack added.
- No Ammo/Health spawns option added. (Disables Healthbonus, Armorbonus, Medikit, Stimpack and all ammo types spawns)
- Bug fixed with ammo drops from poop not giving ammo.
- All rocket types and BFG projectile spawn floor decals when impacting on floors.
- Chainsaw goes into normal (non fire) mode when you run out of fuel.
- Chainsaw drains fuel slightly faster on use.
- Crosshair bug fix on Rocketlauncher.
- Combo and domination rewards added.
- Extra Life deaths punishments added (-5 Power Nodes and -5k XP)
- Dismembered arachnotron head moves around on floor.
- Dismenbered pinky head is shootable now and does a animation similar to the barons head.
- Killer Instinct announcer added.
- Massacre bonus added for killing lots of monsters at once.
- TimeFreeze power up now initiates creepy FEAR ambiance when active.
- Improved visibility on bright backgrounds for the ability icons and power node icon.
- Hud icons (except rank and PN + XP) no longer get displayed on the map screen.
- Rewards are now logged in console so players can read them after they disappear from Hud.
- Not being able to die with extra life mode disabled fixed.
- You no longer get extra life award messages when extra life mode is disabled.
- Resurrect blast spawns floor decal now.

Awesome stuff. Is there a way to disable the Archvile's changes? I don't mind it being harder to kill but that ranged attack is insane. On Black metal it instant-kills and makes things much more frustrating.
Currently there isn't. This version might still have the insane fast Arch Vile projectiles. Your save games won't work with this version anymore but the projectiles move much slower, making it more manageable.

That long range projectile fireball attack gave me conniptions until I figured out how to deal with it... keep moving! If you keep sidestepping, it will miss just like any other projectile. I think it should have some startup animation, currently it is fired as quickly as a hitscan attack from a cultist! You need a few upgrades, I have found pulse chaingun around the corner from a narrow corridor somewhat effective, but it's even better if you have some room to circle strafe. The stun altfire for the plasma rifle is the best option. Certain situations, where you are dealing with 4 archviles, can only be overcome with invincibility powerup.
I am playing this on skill 2 (HMP) with 3ha.wad megawad and it is tough, but very satisfying. Shame that there's no Zandronum support, so no multiplayer. I found this very addictive! Beware!

I'm not that type of guy that will list everything good in the mod but yet, I must say that this mod exceeded my expectations.
I only saw a couple of seconds of an video of this mod and I was already interested, but i was not expecting the amount of gameplay changes that i saw playing it.
Once again, I definitely don't have a critical eye on these things but this is gooood ****.
Keep working on it! I'm sure this mod have a lot of potential!

Also, in one of my runs with this mod i found a bug, that is a little bit... strange, if we can say that way.
I was on Tricks and Traps (Map 8 of Doom 2) and i was eading to the room full of Barons and a Cyberdemon.
For my suprise, i found a Icon of Sin and decided to use the BFG (Who is very OP in this mod). I used and all barons died but the Iconof Sin didn't, so, i used again. Buuut... after the Icon of Sin died the animation of Doomguy taking out the blade (it play when you give a new game) played, after that, i lose all my weapons. I Could't use anything.
There's something with using the BFG 2 times in a row, i'm not forcing you to fix it but can you give a look?

Edit: It was not the BFG who was doing the issue, i think i did something on Map 8 that started this bug.
I really don't what i just did to occur this.
Is something with killing too many enemies at the same time i think.
In Doom Exp Settings there is a option called "Fix Bugs". Whenever something like that happens, try using that option. Most of the time, it will fix those type of bugs.
