Welcome to Company of Heroes: Eastern Front!
Eastern Front is a free mod for Company of Heroes. Following the ethos of mimicking a Relic Entertainment expansion pack, Eastern Front has succeeded in adding a full Soviet faction packed with unique and exciting units to the existing armie as well as the rugged Ostheer - a unique new Axis faction who was designed from the ground up to counter the Soviets s - a feat never before achieved in the Company of Heroes world.
We are constantly working to improve Eastern Front; our dedicated and experienced development team has worked on the mod for three years, and we don't intend to stop yet. The future will bring new campaigns, new reward units, further game mechanics and an overall better experience.

DOWNLOADING EASTERN FRONT
Before downloading Eastern Front, please ensure that you have Company of Heroes patched to 2.700, this is vital as the mod relies on certain features from this latest patch. All future updates will be applied automatically through the Launcher.
Download EASTERN FRONT (Full) v2.30
-Does NOT require an existing Eastern Front install-
-Requires Company of Heroes ver. 2.700.2.42-
NOTE #1: Relic integrated Steamworks on Company of Heroes and turned off
the old servers since May 7th, 2013, this means the retail version is no
longer officially supported by them, so from now on, Eastern Front
can be played only with the new Steam version of CoH which
appears listed as "Company of Heroes (New Steam Version)"
in your Steam library. You can add your old CoH key in
Steam, for more information please read this.
NOTE #2: Eastern Front mod can be played in any CoH game
that is updated up to version 2.602. But you need to
install the compatibility fix for 2.602 in order to
not get a crash. If you install this fix in any
other version of CoH that is not 2.602
your mod will crash. We do not
support development for this
version of EF, so play
it at your own risk.

It was really a long process, but by no means this means the mod is finished... we still need to work on some things so expect some minor updates at the future :).

If you have 2.700 pirated, you don't need any patch. That version is the same as the dvd 2.602 version. It just need a different dll, which is included in 2.30.
But if for some reason you got the new steam version but cracked, then that would be ****. You'll need the dll file from the version provided by Snazz's comment below.
Honestly, I hate that version to the core and kept my DVD. Reward units don't work offline. You should find a link with 2.602.
Hii thank you for your help,,, I already remove the patch and use Snazz version and still crash :(. The only version of Eastern mod that I can play is 2.10
Then that's easier. Just copy the file Factionfix.dll from that version over. Replace the one that came with 2.30.
That should be the reason for the crash. I didn't know the 2.30 link on moddb is for a much later, unknown version of 2.700.

No problem, usually it's a bad move to ask for pirated copy support but this game is a damn mess now so I don't care anymore. You know I have the game and still have to crack cause dvd don't last forever and the new steam version is crap. You can't pause in skirmish.
BTW, the 2.30 version have a bugged AI code. If you play with expert USA AI you will eventually get a SCAR error when the AI build and use the armoured car. There is a fix somewhere but I don't remember anymore.
I play the latest version of Snazz 2.4.3.4 full and it works (no crash but somehow lag),I just follow your instructions :). THANK YOUUUU

Heh, the steam version is disappointing. The devs haven't finish the reward doctrines and removed even more stuffs. Stuffs that are actually interesting.
If you guys love the Jagdpanzer IV and Jagdtiger, stay with 2.30. Also RIP ostheer Tiger spam.

Hi Snazz i play coh version non steam the mod is crashing in 5 minutes of the game send help,, i have the latest version of COH 2.7. I already tried the patch and still crash
hi snazz thanks for uploading the new version of Eastern Front just to get my doubts installed if I have version 2.30 installed I have to uninstall it because I send all the files in the game folder and it has version 2.30 installed and it crashes when I go to skirmish
I already tried it and if you need the Eastern Front 2.30 layers I did something wrong since I put all the files in the company of heroes folder and it only asked me to replace three things so layers is just my mistake
What did you to make the skirmishes run?
I couldn't play skirmishes I'm going to install the mod again and put the snazz thing on and see what happens
Ok so this actually worked for me, install Eastern Front 2.30 FULL first and then extract Snazz file EF_Beta to desktop,open the file and copy everything into Eastern_Front which should be inside the game folder after you installed it.
It didn't work for me the same way it crashes
So I have to send the EF_beta file in the Eastern Front file, what I did was install version 2.30 and then I put all the content of snazz in the company of heroes folder, I tested the EF and OH maps and they crashed but I tried a relic map and it worked for me although afterwards it crashed XD but hey I could play for a while and it worked for you to put it in the Eastern Front folder
You don't need 2.30, it's not a patch, I uploaded the "Full" 2.4.3.4 files. Where/when does it crash? Are you on CoH v2.602?

That would be why. You can try reverting the compatibility patch by replacing FactionFix.dll, original here: Drive.google.com
hi thanks now the mod works perfectly this does not bother me but I get the version of the game in the menu 2.4.0.2 it does not bother me at all but it is only to notify some reward units you cannot select it as the Romanian expeditionary troops urban warfare doctrine but it still doesn't bother me it's just to warn you
Edit:I thought it was a bug but it is not, I know that I have version 2.4.0.2, not 2.4.3.4, I realized that since there is a doctrine that is in 2.3.4, which is the division of assault troops and That one is not there since I had the tiger ace for the oshterss the truth no longer want to bother you snazz it is only to inform
