Just azure sheep, but with the super definition pack (Sort of high definition pack) :)
How do I download this? I Found bolloxed walkthrough and saw a HD packs for Half-Life and saw that upgrades the models and saw a azure sheep pack.
( Facebook.com ) And wanted to play the mod, seems like its for WON Half-Life but I cant get it to download the files, I need help with this one.
Nevermind, the setup needs to be runned as administrator
The first time I played this mod was about 7 years ago. I don't recall how far I got into this mod -- or if I completed it.
I recently played this mod for only the 2nd time ever -in my attempt to 'finish' it in its entirety.
"Azure Sheep" is a very long and somewhat interesting mod. Much of the level design is fairly well done and creative.....but just as much consists of rummaging through a network of never-ending hallways and corridors that appear identical to each other; hence, much of the level design is very 'predictable,' 'blaise,' and 'uncreative.'
This mod -for the better and worse- is very very long. It is almost like a 'redux' of the original Half-life. The HD version of Azure Sheep, which I played, is a misnomer: The only high-definition textures in this mode are limited to 'avatar' and 'weapon' textures. All other textures are standard definition and no better than the textures of the original Half-life game.
When I finally arrived at the 'Zen' level -which I assumed was near the end of this mod- I got 'stuck': Teleporters in one area of 'Zen' didn't function: there was no way to teleport out, hence to a different locale. So I was forced to I load my most recent saved game and I tried another teleporter to a different part of 'Zen': This area of 'Zen' had no 'teleporters' at all. So basically, if "Azure Sheep" even has an ending -- I was completely unable (even with 'noclip' cheats enabled) to find out how to reach the end of this mod.
All in all, given the handfuls of glitches of "Azure Sheep" (no-clip cheats were necessary in more than several locales due to the fact that some doors failed to open, etc. -- and I couldn't finish this mod at all) I rate "Azure Sheep" a 7/10 -mostly for being SO lengthy -- which is a testament of great effort and time that the creator of this mod must've spent in making it.
Thanks for being honest. I share the same sentiments. People just can't be honest about their real feelings. They are snowflakes. Someone downvoted you but I gave you a +1 vote.
Point of View is more succesfull concept than Azure Sheep in my opinion. I like fan made storyline of this mod but the map layouts, the transitions from one ambient to another, planning is too out of logic and simple when compairing real Half-Life series and POV but don't forget this mod released almost 20 years ago.
the voices of Gordon and Adrian are very ... bizarre
the vourtigaunt is the most ******* annoying thing ever
Stream VOD I did for Azure Sheep is up as part of my month of Half-Life.
Alright, I agree that my comment was a little bit too heated and rude; and didn't really tell anything that reviewed the mod.
So I'll try again in a more serious manner. When I played through the mod, I had problems with it because I would run out of ammo pretty easily, some enemies were too far away to properly aim at, the level layouts were confusing because there were a lot of misleading doors that led to rooms with even more misleading doors. Maybe it was a problem with me and not the mod, but all I can say for sure is I didn't have a good time playing it like I expected. Not that the mod needs to satisfy specifically me, but this is supposed to be a review and I'm trying to be honest.
I don't hate the mod and I can see why it's got the reputation it does, but it's not so great compared to other mods that were made within the same time frame.
Apologies for my rudeness earlier.
I agree. If you play Poke646 and Poke646: Vendetta, you'd see it deserves a 9-10 rating. This Azure Sheep mod definitely does not deserve an 8.7. More like a 2.7 - 3.4
