Well its been a while I guess and we haven't talked much. How is it going? I can't wait for the 14 of this month because I am going on a 1 week vacation to Florida :D!! Glad that you got Empire at War and Forces of Corruption working, when do you want to play? I was thinking that we should do a match after RAW 1.2 is finished to try the new patch out.

sounds like a lot of fun, i went down to Florida when i was really little but i don't really remember much, enjoy the hot weather lol...
btw their might be a problem with playing RAW online because my computer is slow already playing against the AI, i dont know if i can get RAW to work online, i will try but i am not sure if it will work
but normal EAW works fine for me, so at least we can play that. :)
Thanks and yeah maybe tomorrow you want to play EAW or whenever you are willing. Thanks for the avatar that you made me been meaning to change mine for a while so I will use yours :D.

Hi! sorry I haven't responded much lately, i have been kind of busy with school wrapping up. I come requesting info from your amazing computer skills. when i downloaded RAW. I extracted the RAR file and began to install it into C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\Data like it said. after it finished it put an icon on the desktop. so i clicked on it. but when i clicked on it it said "Missing Shortcut"- windows is searching for swfoc.exe. to locate the file yourself, click browse. I am stumped, any help would be appreciated.

Sure thing, I'll help. I thought the installation was a bit odd but it goes like this: 1. Extract RAR files to a easy to remember place such as your desktop 2. Run the .exe file (Installer) and install to your C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Empire At War Forces of Corruption/Data (which you did fine)(the exe doesn't install the mod instead it installs a few scripts and the custom maps) 3. Among the extracted files from the RAR file is a Mods folder - open the folder and it will have Republic_At_War (a folder). Take Republic_At_War and move it to your mods folder in the C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Star Wars Empire At War/Mods directory. 4. Finally go to the shortcut on your desktop and in the START IN box under the SHORTCUT tab make sure it says
"C:\Program Files \LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption"
(with the quotation marks)
and make sure that the TARGET BOX says
"C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption\swfoc.exe" MODPATH=Mods\Republic_at_War
(with the quotation marks also)

The game is really fun and the AI is really hard in GC :D. I was playing Republic and the AI CIS took all my planets but 4 and are staging an assault on Coruscant :(. It is really an amazing mod and I hope that it works for you :D
Ok thanks for the info, however i installed it into the data folder like you said to (I can see it in there) and i move the mods folder with the RAW data into the FOC directory, but in the shortcut's start in box i typed in what you said ("C:\Program Files \LucasArts\Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption") but it said there was a missing shortcut, by the way i deleted all the other mods on my computer (3gb worth), to make room for RAW, including the FX mod. So i moved the foc game from the Program files X86 folder back into the normal program files folder. (so i guess that means i no longer need X86 in the target box). sorry, but this mod just like the FX mod doesn't want to work for me. D: i really appreciate all your help. :D
It sounds like it is your SWEAWFOC installation that is causing the problems. Try launching EAWFOC and see if it is fine and make sure that it is called swfoc.exe. What operating system do you have?
Ok i tried to run normal FOC but when i clicked on the shortcut for FOC in the start up window it does nothing. should i uninstall it and then reinstall it?
I am not sure what you mean by the kind of operating system i have. do want me to tell you that my computer is windows vista?
Sounds like your installation might be corrupted, I would try reinstalling. About the operating system I was wondering if it was running XP, Vista, 7, etc. but it sounds like your running Vista. After you reinstall FOC try running it again to verify if it is working. If not try running the vista RAM fix application file that is in the troubleshooting folder and then see if that worked.

Glad you got it working :D. I lost coruscant :( (4 providence ships against my 2 Victory star destroyers lol). Do you want to play with or against me online sometime? I will try to get Ori verda-052 to join us if he is willing.
Yeah its awesome! Raw 1.2 looks awesome too, I have finally gotten the hang of the AI and i am beginning to take some of my planets back, one thing that i noticed is that most of my ships and vehicles are too weak, I made them a bit stronger in the XML. I would love to play online sometime!
However I have tried many times to get online regular EAW working but it freezes as soon as i get online, RAW would never work online on my computer. But as you are incredibly smart with computers, You could probably figure it out, I just am so fed up and frustrated with all the "online fixes" that everyone else tells me to try and never work. but i know you will find me the right one I need. :D
I can't wait for RAW 1.2! I had the same freezing problem that you had and have finally worked out and fixed mine and now everything works fine. What I did was uninstall EAW and FOC completely (registry and all) and then reinstalled with the latest patches. Before when I had the freezing problem I found a patch online that fixed it although I think that the patch broke the multiplayer. Luckily this patch is easy to uninstall and uninstalling it will fix the multiplayer. I can't guarantee that it will work for you but I is my first try at trying to get your multiplayer working again. I am going to upload the file to megaupload because the download is the fastest there (the original website where I found it is no longer available).

Don't worry about viruses I have scanned it with all my antivirus software and have made sure that there is nothing, plus I have ran it before. Hope this helps you :D
