GSC has met it's end.
Is this true? Word is Stalker 2 has been cancelled, GSC is being disbanded?
Please tell me this is wrong.
Nope its true, GSC's staff was continually disolving, the deal to put STALKER 2 on the consoles failed, and costs for the STALKER 2 where getting pretty high. GSC has been a good developer and i hope all the staff find good jobs elsewere. Though I think they should give the data files of STALKER 2 to the modders.
That really suck's,I wonder what will happen to the new engine, It must have been completed by now. And yes let hope they do give us the Stalker 2 build's. I am sure plenty of us would even be willing to pay for them if we needed to (I would) Then we could look forward to what the modders can create for us.

I have put up several all in one versions of different Russian mods so that it is easier for the English speaking community to get them. So far I have put up:
CALL OF PRIPYAT
SGM 1.7 Repacked. This one is finished and fully stable.
Dead city. This is stable adding over ten new maps, machine translation.
ARS. This includes the community translation
SHADOW OF CHERNOBYL
Secret Trails 2
Links for all these are at GSC on there own download threads, they are all in one versions that include translations, some patches have since been added to a couple ironing out any problems, they are all stable, that was the reason for doing them, so we all had stable mods available from the Russian community. They make good mods.
I am currently paused on Geonezis as I am doing a Repacked version of SGM 2.0 which allows the player to start the game in the Dark valley if he wishes too.
SGM Geonezis. It is still not finished (there's a lot of work) But all tools, special weapons for purchase changes and new additional artefact upgrading text is now done, as is about 60-70% of the new quest text. It is taking a while because even though it is all google translated converting that into readable text often requires playing and doing things several times in order to understand there remarks.
The text add-on I put above also included a mesh that was missing and causing a crash when you approach the scientists bunka in Jupiter. So now that is fixed leaving no known issues. YET!
This mod looks amazing but i think I'll wait a little longer til most of the bugs are fixed. Do you think you can bundle everything in one big pack? Like SGM 1.7 + fixes with Geonezis + fixes + translations (When Geonezis is fully finished)? Just so its less confusing and most of us don't have to go looking at every page on the gsc forums for every required file. Thanks again for the awesome mod!
Hello, That is what I have been working towards. I have put the Geonezis mod in two parts so far which are above they already include SGM and it's fixes and I have completed most of the translation work. I will finish though.

Sadly not my mod, All I am doing is fixes and translations. There are some good mods out there that need translation work.
The winter of death mod is one It adds the Garbage, Dark valley and the Dark valley lab. It is a short mod but has a lot of potential and room to add more quests.
