No. However it does have slightly more gore, only implemented for increased realism.

This mod is compatable with the HDTP & New Vision mods only.

Hmm, last update in 2011. Maybe this additional interest can spur on the developers:

Well, this is....

As a huge fan of Deus Ex 1 & Resident Evil 1, this should be interesting.

I'm not too sure the two mix too well though, and that Unreal's block graphics will do the atmosphere any favours. Still, a day one download from me :)

Some requests (some may already be in the game):

Make it very true to RE in gameplay: No quicksaves, typewriters and ink ribbons instead. Very low ammo. Copy all the documents word for word.
Make it challenging.

Make it dark in areas. If you are having that flashlight in singleplayer, make it's use limited. To make it scary I think you'll have to rely on darkness a lot to hide Unreal's ugly graphics (though designing with New Vision will certainly help).
Consider asking DDL to use some HDTP character models so that you can then modify them into more convincing zombies. Whilst you are at it grab the flamethrower, combat knife and pistol too :)

Now some stretching of the gameplay requests: Keep weapon mods and maybe even skills (though a modified version to be suitable for RE).

If you need a level designed I wouldn't mind making 1, would be interesting. Msg me if you need me.

Thanks. Yeah the GMDX moddb URL decided to change, screwing up all the links I'd posted everywhere.

You'll have to extract it yourself come final release. Cloaking
is done and there are no intentions to rework it.

Glad there are some high profile devs out there staying true to themselves and the market that helped build them. Obsidian ftw. Damn I love New Vegas.
Not really a huge fan of isometric RPGs (though I have enjoyed them in the past) but I'm more than ready to give this game a try and to support Obsidian.

Hmm are shameless plugs allowed around here? ;)
Try my Deus Ex mod, final version released soon! Does big things.

Hello. No, it's not compatible with revision, however once you complete your Revision playthrough you'd only need to install GMDX on top of it (overwriting the maps, dx.u etc) to give GMDX a try.

I guess you are playing on normal difficulty anyway, so it would be like playing on vanilla hard but with new features, fixes and re-balancing.

EDIT: Thanks. Please let us know if you find any bugs or have any suggestions. We are trying to get the next release perfect so we can focus on new features.

It wasn't a crazy suggestion but a crazy question. I could care less if you could cannibalize or not.... But as Spook said, it does make sense to have some cannibalism going on, such as an encounter with some hungry NPCs who try to eat you.
Lol.

From the description: "WARNING: Not for the faint of heart or the willfully ignorant of mind. Contains scenes of extreme reality".

LOL!

This looks fantastic. Set to blow DX fans away with the setting, writing etc. I loved the 3D printer, made me lol also.
Just one question: Since there is a global famine can you cannibalize your enemies once you have knocked em out or killed em? :p

Oh and another: Is this a one man project? If so, that is extremely impressive. Jack of all trades.

The description for the "broken telescope" is well-written and, well, awesome. Good luck with your mod, I will have to play the full version when it's done.

So gameplay-wise it starts survival/scavenging then what happens later, good old classic DX style gameplay?

You have to follow the installation instructions in the Readme for this mod very carefully.

Here are the required HDTP links:

HDTP release 1: Offtopicproductions.com

HDTP recent beta: Offtopicproductions.com
(the three links in the OP)

It's a tedious process to get everything installed correctly, but worth it in the end.
v3 will hopefully have an installer to make the process alittle more user friendly....

Sarge Mark IV, the legend who gave DooM an excellent gameplay make over, although the Doom source ports are important to the experience too (jumping, crouching and freelook).

Excellent mod man, this is how it's done.

Bug report- When aiming down the sights with the rifle (not sure if exclusive to the rifle or if shotgun too) then aiming back out again sometimes the FOV stays zoomed. It's minor.

My only criticism is the third person fatalities. I think they are not suitable for Doom and are a complete waste of your talents....but they are entirely optional so no problem here.

Keep up the good work. I personally think you have done what you can for Doom (perfected the gameplay), and should move on to something like Half-Life, Return to Castle Wolfenstien campaign (which desperately NEEDS mods, ADS and better AI would be great!), or Quake 2.

Rated 10/10.

This post is the opinion of CyberP, and thanks for the mod.

EDIT: Damn, new member so cannot rate above 8. I'll wait a week then.
