hello friends.. i am doing a study about asian culture,specifically japan and china
and specifically mangas and folklore,dont ask why.. . but also the theme as a whole.. so yeah im looking for female manga specifically if there be any for boys and girls.. but if so also for boys :)
and i would like to understand what it is that is so fascinating about it and what its about.. so if you guys could share some insight with me..would be really appreciated
furthermore if you got any suggestions on what to watch (good mangas) let me know.. i was interested when i was very young you know,but was forbidden of watching..episodes of "cats eye" >>キャッツ♥アイ << original title ,and others wich i cant seem to find the name.. because of its sexual exploits/content
but as i was saying... i am doing this research and im a grown man,so i think i can handle it Lol
so yeah, i would be up for any titles you suggest
preferably without any nudity,and mini skirts that barely covers genitals, or barely covered boobs..(i dont want impaired judgement) Lol

oh it should be more serious than comedy,maybe dark, but with romantic notion should work

I'm not quite 100% sure, but if you want to see something like that, your are asking for no ecchi. But you still want romantic and it should be dark, then I would recommend one called " Vampire Knight " As it says in the title this is a vampire series, but it's dark, romantic and a little bit comedy.

Beside Ｔｏｒａｄｏｒａ, for romcom genre I'll recommend Ｇｅｋｋａｎ Ｓ��ｏｕｊｏ Ｎｏｚａｋｉ－ｋｕｎ, Ｏｒｅ Ｍｏｎｏｇａｔａｒｉ, and Ｓｃｈｏｏｌ Ｒｕｍｂｌｅ. I think Ｃｈｕｕｎｉｂｙｏｕ also counts.
And maybe, if you count harem as romantic relation, check Ｎｉｓｅｋｏｉ and Ｔｈｅ Ｗｏｒｌｄ Ｇｏｄ Ｏｎｌｙ Ｋｎｏｗｓ. Or if you're plain sick, ＯｒｅＩｍｏ.
For the anti-thesis of romcom, there's Ｏｒｅｇａｉｒｕ.
If you will like to watch romantic comedy, I can recommend three called Toradora!, Skip Beat and Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
