Over time your share of the money you've accumulated allows you better access to equipment like ammo/doctor bags, new guns, explosives, modified weaponry, improved body armor, and abilities.
The group's first heist took place at the First World Bank, where they entered a vault by using thermite and stole a large amount of money. A post-game message congratulates the group, telling them that they are "set for life", but now they are going to do more heists just for the hell of it,
and who knows... it may payoff.

yeah I tried it. Quite fun, definitely the best heist game I played, although it is the first heist game I've played :S
