It is the dawn of the 22nd century, and the conquest of space has been monopolized by a handful of hugely ambitious mega-corporations. A delicate and vulnerable balance is maintained, but now, at the very edge of the solar system, a discovery has been made which will tip the scales forever — and send one ship and crew on an epic interstellar odyssey.

Hello everyone,

First up is a UNSC fortress/staging station. When the first Outer Colonies began to fall, the UNSC saw the need for a place to stand in between the falling colonies to hold the line a little longer and to provide aid for the fleeing civilian ships. After some time, the first fortress/staging station FS-0001 was created. FS-0001 was easily deployable, sporting enough weapons and armor to hold out against a small assault and having enough space to provide relief for several vessels. Expect this station to show its face in the campaign.

One of ONI's best kept secrets has been this ship; the Point of no Return. Although ONI has many facilities and bases, this ship is used by the top of ONI as a command ship and secure conference location. Only a handful of people know of this ship. Further information is classified.

Point of no Return briefing

A huge platform that is capable of repairing and/or refitting up to six ships of Destroyer size or smaller at a time. These platforms were scarce throughout the UNSC fleet, but there were several who were constantly moving around to keep up with the UNSC fleets that were getting cut into pieces trying to defend their planets. Later in the war, these platforms were used as shields against the Covenant's plasma. But which of these two designs do you like best?

And the final new ship we've probably all been seeing a lot lately; the UNSC Infinity. Build as a last resort if Earth should fall, the Infinity possesses all of the Forerunner technology the UNSC ever found and extracted and is armed to the teeth. When the war ended it became the UNSC's new flagship.

Briefing of the Infinity

An idea I have for the campaign is to include this ship; the Gungnir. It's a refitted Phoenix class Colony ship that has been in the war from the beginning. It has been under heavy attack several times and been patched up several times, but it always had to be rushed into service again. So its decline is showing.

Gungnir

I've mentioned a campaign once or twice now, and it is something I have planned. It will, however, be one of the last things created for this mod. In other news; my music artist is having internet trouble, so I can't upload his work just yet, but I will as soon as I have it!

Until next time,

Ciao,
Abyssinian

Hey guys, I have a pretty big problem with the "Titan" mission.

I found a guide telling me to use Gunboats to take out the IP Blocker on the Titan station, but when I go to the config screen, they aren't there, just the fighters are existent. I re-installed the game a few times but it didn't fix the problem.

Is there anyway to destroy the IP Blocker without the Gunboats?

Hi, I have a solution about this quest. You can destroy all Gorg ship before attack the IP Blocker !!
Pack your Angelswing with full Torpedo and 1 device destroy gun
When the game start wait for 3 Gorg ships enter 10 range and enable the Cloaking , after that keep distance with Gorg ship. After awhile the Gorg ship suddenly deactivate their shield !! Now you can fire all torpedo . After 2 or 3 times active the cloaking again . With that you can destroy all Gorg ship and now you're free to do everything you want with the Titan Ship

Yeah, just use the latest fighters, and pack the ship with them. I believe u have Flash Fighters by the Titan mission. If not just use the best fighter available at that moment. The Angelwing can house 4 fighter wings. Four wings should be enough to take out the blocker. But don't launch the fighters from the start location. If u launch too early they will be chewed up by the Gorg ships in the area. Use a manual nav point to approach the station at an angle while cloaked and deploy the fighters when u are parallel to the station and within 20 km.
To set up a manual nav point set the camera on the station, zoom out to a side where there are no Gorg patrols, zoom out until u have a full view of Titan (3-4 times) then bring the mouse cursor in the middle of the screen and press N.
U have just learned how to make nav points. They will help u out in other missions with few destinations to navigate to.
Good luck, Captain.

Got the soluttion. Need to replay the previous mission Titan. The Gorgs has tp be destroyed in a certain order. At the end first destroy the Barbarian then the Titan. And the Brutus and Sparta need to survive.
Great, awesome game. I am hooked

Hi there dudes,
Which upgrades from the mod's will increase the graphics, eyecandy and overall gameplay of Nexus?
There are so much that i am lost.
Found this one for eg:
1. Dynamic lighting effect patch (decompressed .dat)
i don't see a .dat file in the main folder
i do see a nexus_00.dap file.
will use the compresses one default type.

2. Tacticstype tool 2.0
What will this do? Improve the gamplay?

3.Nexus Texture Converter
Will this improve the graphics of the ships asteriod's etc

Are there any other recommendations?

Thank you very much

the patch im not sure. but the tactics tool allows you to edit the game. like all the stats of ships and weapons ect.

the texture converter allows you to port custom textures into the game to make your own ships

Hi,
I just bought the game from amazon.uk. After installing the game form the cd 1 and cd 2 i have patched it with the 1.01 patch. When i want to start the game i get the message:Cannot locate the CD-ROM. Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart.

I have inserted both the CD 1 and CD 2, but it didn't work.
Tried the compatibility mode, win xp sp 2. See compatibility mode for older programs to run win win 7 but using older windows as win xp.(google)

System specs: Win 7, 64 bit, 6 gb ram, HD 4890.

Please help, any suggestions. Really want to play this game
