You may ask why all the effort ? Is the final version not enough ? I thought so myself, but when I increased the resolution of the textures for the first time, I saw the huge difference, and so it motivated me to keep the mod growing. Not only that, I also improved a lot of particles, fixed many ugly things and added some new textures in the latest version. I even analised every city in the game and improved the atmosphere even more. Even the color palette was reworked again so that you don't need to use sweetfx anymore.

This ground texture is from 2015 version as you can see it looks okay but it's not very high quality.
And this one is from the latest 2016 version. The resolution was changed from 512x512 to 1024x1024.

I hope it gives you some idea what I tried to achieve there. I would say that this is the last one but I won't, because the last year was supposed to end my work, yet I still changed so many things. Do not expect any more versions soon as I will focus on AC2 overhaul now so wish me luck.

In my Opinion AC1 is still the best! The gameplay rocks, Altair rocks, Altair´s robe rocks! You need to use tactic. In AC2 you just need to beat the hell out of them. AC1 is best. But if they´d make a new AC with Altair I think I´ll try it. But AC2-AC4(coming soon) are not too much fun I think...

AC2 should be moddable, there were even some fans trying to decipher AC1 .forge file format. :-)
Yup, any mods for AC2 would be awesome! Futuristic, or e.g. a ninja mod set in Japan/China. But don't count on it... = ( Unless people start to decode .forge format or Ubisoft make some modding tools.

I just played this game and I'm wondering why there isn't a fururistic kind of game like this. I mean, think of a special forces soldier that is free-running all over iraq, then he stops, pulls out his Barrett .50 cal, then snipes a dude from a mile away, the nhigh-tails it out of dodge and back to home base?
And something tells me that a DBZ game would do very will on this engine. The camera superiority, third-person perspective, huge scale, and the low/high profile mechanic would do well for the DBZ fighting games.
Assassin's Creed 2 will be worth every penny.
There will be something kind of like that with computer hacking and the same kind of action. A game call Watch Dogs made by Ubisoft. Look into it.
