Proprietary licenceThe SAGE engine is a game engine used by Westwood Studios and Electronic Arts for real-time strategy games.
Founded in 1982 by Trip Hawkins, EA was a pioneer in the early games industry and was notable for promoting the designers and programmers responsible for their games. For the first few years, EA was just a publisher and didn't expand to development until the late 80s and started supporting consoles in the 90s. They also began to acquire successful developers and in the early 2000s became the worlds largest third party publisher. They recorded a net revenue of US$3.129 for FY2005.

So EA, Why did you remove Kane's Wrath from Moddb? I know you guys did it because i dont think Moddb would remove it just because.
Dudes everybody is complaining that EA were a great fail especialy on CnC but they kept on the westwood members!!!!!!!!!!! So every1 who says westwood were better than EA just REMEMBER THE PEOPLE WHO STILL MAKE CNC GAMES ARE WESTWOOD THERE JUST UNDER NAME OF EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EA SUCKS WESTWOOD ISN'T RELATED TO EA AND NO ONE FROM WESTWOOD IS LEFT
most WW members are at petroglyph.the others are gone so no WW member is at EA as far as i know.EA is just based on WW plans for CNC but rushes them like hell.calm down guys!how many different CNC games can someone play in 3 years?
There are barely ant Westwood guys at Petroglyph, a mediocre company.
a BIG downer is RA3 uprising IT SUX SO BADLY YOU CANT PLAY IT ONLINE AND THE CAMPAIGNS ARE 3 MISIONS long A DISSAPOITMENT FOR $20 AND A 3 DAY WAIT TO DOWNLODE
*so depresing wat happen to westwood generals ZH kiks *** tho
eh EA is prob too lazy to ******* read our comments. Dont fail us on cnc4, Dont make it like starcraft 2 because you guys will never beat bilzzard. NEVER!!!! quit making your games like bilzzards. hell bungie is a small company and they are still kicking yall *****.
Dear EA, i got a question about this "have to be online all the time for CNC4". are you guys really forcing that or yall gonna change it for single player or what? I travel alot and i want something to do when im on the road and i think making the final tiberium based cnc game online only is kinda messed up. Hell, to be honest, making a RTS game online only is really messed up. plus, playing single player sometimes makes the player better and gets them ready to play mutiplayer. think about it. force us to play online = lose ALOT of money...
I still stand by EA as all the games they made are fun and great and
sure the C&C is not allways stay true to the cannon but still they have
made fun and great games themselves like the battlefield and also publish great games like left 4 dead and half life 2 and sure call me a EA fan boy and qoute me like like "EA r04 76h W1n r01f" but I will stand by my favourite game companys always and also the bisness praticnces of EA are
capltist in nature and is a USA company if you dont like what they do start a communist revolution in the states and nationalize every thing and of course control the means of production
Haha, they published Half Life 2 and Left 4 Dead? This is the first time I've heard of this.
