Much smaller in size compared to Vondel, Fortune’s Keep is still extremely rich with variable terrain, urban combat environments, and underground close-quarters engagement zones. Each major location is distinctly different and provides unique elements that favor every playstyle. Learn the layout of the map, and then start to explore and seek out the secrets hidden below and around the rocky promontories and medieval structures.

Operators can refuel and repair their vehicles at this gas station. A solid white gas icon indicates a refueling station for land vehicles, while the gas station icon with the waterdrop and waves indicates a fueling station for boats and watercraft.

The three bullets indicate an ammo cache where Operators can reload their ammunition and equipment.

The tower with the signal emitting from the top indicates the location of a UAV Tower. Towers can be powered on to reveal enemies for a limited amount of time.

The drone icon indicates a Redeploy Drone that can be used to zip to the top of the drone’s location and drop into a new area much quicker than running or driving there.

Located adjacent to the Keep, the Terraces were originally built as a beautiful landscape for the wealthy to enjoy. Now this area is a dense Area of Operation, or AO, with access to the coastal shore and protected by walls and tall buildings. The adjacent church and cannon tower make this prime real estate when it comes to maintaining a stronghold for Operators. Flanked on most sides by walls, the Terraces is a well-fortified POI, and attacking it can be highly dependent on successful snipers. The proximity of the Keep makes the Terraces a dangerous place when defending yourself from squads within the Keep. So, stay low and on the move, using the many buildings to your advantage. Be sure to use the vine trellis ladders located all over the walls and buildings throughout the Keep and Terraces area as a means of gaining some elevation.

Located on the northernmost edge of the map, the Keep has many places to take cover. Prepare for close quarters as well as long range combat if you plan on entering the Keep; although the structure is large, the sheer number of corridors and rooms within its outer walls can turn a long-distance fight into a short one in seconds. The Keep is set deep within the walled grounds of the sprawling Fortune’s Keep compound, so snipers may have trouble shooting long distance. However, there are outer walls stretching from the Keep that are more open and susceptible to effective ranged fire.

Split in half, the Keep is divided into a red side and a blue side in addition to two towers, one still intact and one destroyed, which is important for callouts when communicating with your squad. The sides are indicated by flags. The Keep is split directly down the center with an open-air courtyard set in the middle of the Keep. The high ground is key, and the upper floors are accessible from the outside and from within. The second floor also has a large balcony that overlooks the northern coastline and is a prime location for defending the oceanside of the Keep.

The Throne Room is the focal point of the entire Keep. Located deep within the Keep, the Throne Room is the most difficult room to infiltrate if there is someone guarding it. Riddled with secrets, this is the most important room to explore. Stay alert and on guard, and keep your eyes peeled for what may lie beneath the royal façade.

The Gatehouse is the entrance to the Keep’s grounds and sits directly in the center of Fortune’s Keep. Surrounded by the majority of the map’s POIs, the Gatehouse is difficult to control, but it is the main gateway to and from the Ground Zero POI to the south. Broken down and sinking into the ground, the Gatehouse runs along the center road and provides a covered route into the Keep. With several entrances into the interior of the cannon tower, Operators should watch for frequent fighting and try not to spend too much time looting before advancing to the next location.

The sizable fissures in the earth at this site provide several avenues when approaching the Gatehouse, which means that although the gate is central to the map, the location can also be attacked from beneath the surface. The Gatehouse divides the map in two and can help prevent long guns from controlling the whole area. Use this location as a large piece of cover to conceal a rotation around Ground Zero or the Keep.

When you see the pop-up structures painted in the iconic black and red colors, you know you’ve arrived at the Konni Outpost. This POI sits right on the shoreline and serves as a staging area for Konni Group; therefore, it is an excellent place to resupply and prepare for your next fight. It also provides indirect access to the Keep and is adjacent to the Winery. Moving to and from the Konni Outpost usually involves an uncovered run that can leave you and your squad exposed, but the natural cove partially enveloping the area can provide a modicum of protection. Be prepared to travel by water for a quick relocation strategy.

Keep your eyes on the hill above the outpost and prepare for incoming enemy forces from the Keep. Push the fight to them by using the cave, which is filled with crates and boxes. Inside the cave is a zipline that leads into the basement of the house on the hill above the cave that overlooks the Outpost. Alternatively, if you’re after a more direct route, take the path that follows the rock face, which leads to an area under the Keep.

Though seemingly straightforward to explore and hold, the Winery contains a variety of hidden and important areas to learn. Once an architectural masterpiece, this compound was dominated by a tall tower, now unfortunately in ruins. Venture farther into this POI to discover six different buildings to explore aboveground, including one with a fallen bell tower that now serves as a helpful pathway to the roof of the tallest building. Use this path to gain a height advantage on any squads that may be hiding out here. Inside the largest of the six buildings, adorned with stained-glass windows and fractures that run up to the second floor, is the wine storage; use this structure to gain an excellent vantage across the entire center of the map, as well as most of the eastern shoreline.

The basement of the wine storage building is a surprisingly open underground engagement area that can be accessed from several different locations across the Winery compound, as well as from a large fracture in the ground that runs through the middle of the complex. Prepare for close-ranged combat as this underground area is a close-quarter safe haven for Operators fleeing danger from the Konni Outpost, Pier, or Ground Zero. Be sure to keep a keen eye when venturing through the basement, as it is a prime location for high quality loot.

The complex is full of buildings that serve as useful cover when you’re in a fight, but you may wish to limit your time stationed at the Winery, as this POI is likely to be highly contested throughout the rounds of a match. Subterranean sections of the Winery are flooded — a drainage system allows you to tactically drain and re-flood this area at will, adding some strategy and cunning to combat in the vicinity. Use this feature to your advantage because while flooded, enemy squads are forced to swim underneath the entrance that faces the Konni Outpost. However, the flooded basement also means that Operators falling from above can do it swiftly and aggressively due to being able to use the water to break their fall and prevent any fall damage.

The Pier is simple to the naked eye but with closer inspection it is a playground of purpose. The Pier contains several tactical advantages including both sea and land gas stations. Expect to find vehicles traversing the Pier — including helicopters — as the Pier is also a common aircraft take-off point. This POI has a limited amount of hard cover locations, but the ones that do exist are well fortified and provide a prime opportunity for Operators to fire on enemy squads forced to rotate from other highly contested areas.  Additionally, like most of the eastern side of Fortune’s Keep, it’s a great place to regroup, rearm, and redeploy into the fight. Use the dotted beach terrain and scenery, as well as the cliffside to escape from a problematic fight, and think about defending this part of the Pier from incoming attacks.

Every land mass in the middle of the sea needs a Lighthouse for the safety of passing seafarers, though Fortune’s Keep’s ominous reputation has dissuaded all civilian vessels from entering the vicinity. When investigating the Lighthouse, you’ll first need to navigate open-air terrain connected to the cove located beneath the Lighthouse. The cove is a bit of a kill box, considering the elevated ridge that extends around about three-quarters of the shallow water below. Thankfully, there are several caves and small sections of the island to use for cover. Operators shouldn’t spend too much time below the Lighthouse, but it can provide a modicum of safety if needed.

There are three different buildings to maneuver through in the Lighthouse, the largest of which is attached to the tower that houses the beacon. Operators can travel up the Lighthouse to the beacon; although it isn’t a dominant high point, it still provides a higher vantage for squads to scout their next target. The buildings serve as a tactically advantageous compound to defend while planning your next move. There is enough cover to employ when battling against the enemy, but in dire situations, there are plenty of escape options when facing an unfavorable confrontation. Use the buildings to hide your escape and dive into the cove if you need to.

Across the extendable bridge from Ground Zero and bordering the Town POI is the Overlook. A beautiful cluster of buildings is split into two traversable sections. The section closest to Ground Zero houses a luxurious restaurant with a picturesque (and tactical) view of both the ocean and the eastern end of Fortune’s Keep. The restaurant isn’t at an elevation that provides sniper lanes all down the coast, but it is high enough to allow you to spot when danger is coming from the east. This vantage point is great for giving Operators ample time to respond with a plan on how to deal with the threat.

The restaurant provides some of the only cover in this area; beware of a lack of elevation as the structure sits on a plateau. Operators should try to quickly move toward the next set of buildings to the west and across the gap, or dive off the tall rock face to the south and onto the beach or the roadway tunnel that passes through the Overlook. There is also a small cave located near the gap between the Plateau and the adjacent rock face that leads directly into Town. Using this cave to sneak in quietly is highly advantageous given you or your squad isn’t spotted. If you have a moment to breathe, investigate the restaurant from top to bottom. There may be something special waiting to support you and your squad.

Farther up the rock face is a small village area that contains over a dozen homes and shops, including a tactically advantageous cluster located atop the tallest part of the rock face. This can give squads a clear sightline into most of the Town. Claiming this cluster of buildings can be supremely helpful to your game, as long as it is safe from the gas. Expect this location to be frequented by enemy squads.

The Overlook flows into a peninsula with a lookout tower located at the end of it; this serves as a prime location for recon squadmates plotting your team’s next move. However, Operators spotted here may have to make a daring escape if they wish to survive. Using the height of the Overlook to your advantage is key when moving across this area but be aware that this is a very exposed position. Use the stairs, tunnels, and roads to keep out of the enemy’s sights and always remember that there are multiple tiers to the Overlook, so don’t get caught off guard when you run into a lurking squad or two waiting in the shadows.

Many of the more idyllic points of interest across Fortune’s Keep provide self-contained, if remote, compounds. For those seeking a more urban environment of close-quarters combat, head into Town. This location is fully loaded with everything you’d expect in a busy town, including the chaos that comes with not knowing what’s around every corner. Because of the many homes, shops, bars, and even a library all in close proximity within few blocks, stay extremely frosty and prepare for immediate combat: You never know who’s hiding around a corner or peeking out of a building. The buildings are marked with signs (Chum Bar, Fresh Foods, Saltys Snack Bar, etc.) and are painted with bright colors. Use these features when calling out the enemy’s location to your squad, especially when an enemy moves from any map-pinged location.

The Town has a clock tower and a helipad atop the police station, both of which are optimal for reconnaissance; however, beware that moving across either location gives away your position. Next to the helipad are two Gas Stations (for land and watercraft), which are prime location for rapid assaulting or evacuating this POI. Expect a frequency of footfalls in this area; this can be a very busy crossroad during a match.

While in the town, vigilance can save your squad. Routing through the interiors of the town is safe, but the routes can be initially complex, so Operators should take their time and be sure they’re moving in the right direction. Thankfully, many of the buildings connect to each other, providing a quick path to get from one building to another.

Directly adjacent to the Overlook, Ground Zero, and the Graveyard, Operators should expect to find great sightlines into the Town, as this POI is somewhat sunken and has routes feeding directly into the western bay. While the Town does have ample cover, it does make it difficult to leave, both due to the safety it can offer you and the number of routes in and out of the vicinity. Use the cover provided as well as the possibly available UAV Tower to scout the safest path possible before making your exfil to an adjacent zone.

The low-lying gravestones don’t provide much cover here, but the tombs and exterior walls can provide a modicum of cover if you’re exposed to enemy fire. The graveyard was built atop a hillock, and the area where it descends toward the water is important if you’re looking to out-angle your opponent. Being located on a small incline also means that the view from the west is a little more exposed, compared to the more cover opportunities you’ll find if you approach from the east. There are many entry/escape routes to and from the Graveyard.

Bordered by both the Town and the Terraces, the Graveyard is a high-traffic zone, especially due to the hidden routes not immediately obvious when traversing the ground-level landscape. Locate the tunnel that connects to the Terraces to the north; then continue your reconnaissance to discover an additional cave tunnel that burrows beneath the ground to the east. This tunnel leads to Ground Zero, but it also contains a secret entrance into the Graveyard via one of the large graves.

From the surface, it appears that a seismic event occurred at this location. Konni Group was forced to deploy bridges and structures that allowed them to recover any R&D weapons or valuable tech left within this vicinity. The surface of this POI contains a shipping and receiving station, a communications tower, a few fishing shacks that have collapsed into the center of Ground Zero, and a collection of small offshore rock outcrops. However, conduct a deeper investigation, and you’ll discover something significantly more sinister.

What lies beneath and in the shadows is a fully developed Konni Group laboratory, likely responsible for the destruction of this island and the chaos that has subsumed Fortune’s Keep. Complete with several natural tunnels, enter this underground complex with a good deal of trepidation, as losing your target here is easy. Operators who think fast can vanish from their pursuers by escaping through these tunnels and adventuring deeper into the Ground Zero lab.

Venture through the eastern tunnels or drop into the hole in the northeastern sector of Ground Zero, and you’ll find the exact location where an experiment was conducted that caused this destruction. Filled with Konni Group secrets, there is much to explore in this laboratory. Don’t get caught off guard by squads that may be operating down here. Operators should dive deep if they wish to uncover these secrets or if they are in desperate need of supplies needed to survive. Learn the pathways, don’t get cornered, and stay on the lookout for the numerous escape routes to adjacent locations. Thoroughly explore the Konni Group labs because you may find something that be the key to your squad’s success.
