Conquest

Battlefield's massive, iconic sandbox mode returns bigger and better than ever. This classic mode is available on all 13 maps (the new maps from Battlefield 2042 and those maps included in Battlefield™ Portal) and now features "clustering" – that is the creation of smaller "clusters" of activity and capture areas on these sprawling maps. These spaces contain a variety of elements to facilitate multiple gameplay styles in a single area.

Breakthrough

Breakthrough is all about attacking the enemy and pushing the line forward or digging in and defending as much territory as possible. Attackers must secure simultaneous objectives and capture the enemy sectors. Breakthrough is available on all seven maps from Battlefield 2042.

Maps

The maps in Battlefield 2042 allow for all-new gameplay experiences, with unprecedented scale and choices in gameplay. With the introduction of 128 players*, each map is designed with multiple distinct combat areas that directly impacts strategy for you and your squad.

Weapons & Equipment

Unleash your combat creativity through a full roster of cutting-edge weapons all-new equipment inspired by the near-future of 2042. Summon the Ranger, a robotic dog built for battle, use the Syrette Pistol to revive squad members from afar, employ a grappling hook to reach new places, don a wingsuit, deploy a recon drone, and more.

Vehicles

Each battlefield has multiple distinct combat areas housed in a single playspace and this extra space means more variety and more meaningful vehicle gameplay – tanks have more space to roam, fighter jets have more airspace to maneuver.
