Troubleshooting If JohnnyGuitar NVSE doesn't seem to be working (other mods complain that it's not installed, or you don't see its effects in the game or GECK):
Make sure that xNVSE 6.3.0 or newer is installed (can be tested using GetNVSEVersionFull command in game console)
If the above didn't help, post nvse.log file (found in game folder) in the comments using pastebin.com.
If the above steps were not followed, complaints will be ignored.
If you experience issues (CTDs, lags, etc.) that go away if you remove JohnnyGuitar NVSE:
JG does very little on its own, so these issues are most likely caused by mods utilizing its features. Find mods that require JG in your load order, disable them and see if the problem goes away. If yes, report it on the relevant mod page.
If the above didn't help, it's possible that a recent update of JG is causing it. In case of crashes, install Crash Logger, disable NVAC, run the game until it crashes and post the CobbCrashLogger.log file it produced in comments.
The Viva New Vegas team now maintains a repository of INI presets with diverse options preconfigured for ideal usage aimed at mod users, as we've now decided to keep JG itself with the minimum options enabled so that mod creators can have their test environments unaffected by our gameplay patches. Recently installed FPGE, which started hissing at me that JIP wasn't working. It also continued running even when it was disabled, so I couldn't just proceed without the mod. Ensured I had Visual C 2015+ installed, manually reinstalled NVSE and JIP, and now 3DCam is screaming at me that JohnnyGuitar isn't functional.
c6dev said to post the nvse_loader.log in the comments for help, so here it is.
newest version (5.10) causes an instant CTD (like, the game doesn't even open for a second) with NOTHING in the crashlog, like, it doesn't print anything, reverting back to 5.08 lets me open the game and play as normal, i don't know how useful this report is considering i have a HUGE modlist and like i said, nothing in the log but erm... thought i'd mention it?
Several versions of NVSE behind? When I look on the nexus and github pages, the most recent version is 6.3.5, which is what is running in my game.
EDIT: I double checked the nvse.log and it looks like I have version 5.04. I am not sure how that happened as I downloaded it from this page, but I will redownload and try again.
I get a weird issue when I use Pipboy Ui Tweaks. I get a message that says "Pipboy UI tweaks missing requirement. Install latest JohnnGuitar NVSE plugin". I just installed a new instance of begin again. I don't think I have had this problem with a playthrough in the past with an older version of JG, but of course I could be wrong. Can anyone corroborate this or maybe know what I did wrong?
Edit: I discovered my issue. The begin again wabbajack modlist installs version 5.04, not 5.07.
How do I prevent/disable the game start message from appearing, saying... A new NVSE plugin version is required... When a new NVSE plugin version isn't required?

Safe to update mid-game?
