"A frigid land covered in a thick sheet of snow. The temperature is so low here that entire lakes have frozen over. It may seem uninhabitable, but there are people who call this region home. Video Game Appearances[]

This region was named in Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku II. Enemies encountered in the forest area of the Northern Mountains are wild boars, snakes, hawks, the Tiger Bandit Gang, Warlord's henchmen, Eggbots, ladybugs, and triceratops. Squirrels are also shown to live in the forest. Dr. Gero is encountered and fought several times here. The Dragon Team have to destroy the three generators of the barrier protecting Dr. Gero's lab, one of them requiring moving a mother brontosaurus' eggs to be destroyed without killing her offspring, and another one requiring finding the code to enter a special room in Vinnie's house. It is also here that Goku finds the Three-Star Dragon Ball (on the beach in the manga/anime), right before the Cell Games; the boss is a blue T-Rex this time.

In Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3, the mountains and the doors to Dr. Gero's lab can be seen in the Dragon Universe.

The Northern Mountains are a playable battle stage in Dragon Ball: Zenkai Battle.

The Northern Mountains containing the tunnel leading to Dr. Gero's Lab in Dragon Ball Fusions

In Dragon Ball Fusions, the Northern Mountains containing Dr. Gero's Lab appear as one of the floating islands in Area 3F of the Timespace Rift, which can be found floating underneath part of the floating island that Future West City sits upon. Tekka's team can find Tien Shinhan and Chiaotzu training here (speaking to them results in the Sub-Event that unlocks both Tien and Chiaotzu). The hidden tunnel leading to the entrance to Dr. Gero's Lab can also be found there. Occasionally, a powerful enemy appears inside tunnel and if Tekka approaches them, they will be confronted by Android 17 and Android 18, leading to a fight between Tekka's Team and a team consisting of Android 17, Android 18, Android 16, Android 44, & Android 55.

In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, North Mountains appears as an area on Earth. In addition to Dr. Gero's Lab and the highway where the Z Fighters confronted Android 17 and Android 18, it is also the location of Bells Village and Muscle Tower (which acts as a destroyable Enemy Base). In the middle of the area is a frozen lake known as Darlinge Polynya. Despite the cold temperatures, various species of wildlife adapted to the cold such as Megalosaurus, White Wolves, Golden Wolves, Large-Antlered Caribou can be found living within the North Mountains.
