I did notice the box was roughed up but i don't mind as I'm not a collector. I do hope I don't have to come back in some months to say the xbox has died as i have noticed some people saying it breaks down weeks to months later. But so far it's turned on and worked well.

 My partner and I decided to get my step son this Xbox for Christmas (I know its early for Christmas shopping but I plan ahead). I was so excited to get this in and upon opening it found that the box has already been through some crap. With a slice up the front of the box (which as you can see wouldn't happen from me opening my amazon box from the placement and direction) along with dings everywhere and rips on the top front and bottom back of the box. I'm already very disappointed as I purchased a NEW PRODUCT not a renewed, not a used anything but A NEW XBOX. That being said I will wait until my partner comes home so he can test it and see if it still works properly. But this little boy deserves the joy of seeing a brand new untouched box that he gets to open up Christmas morning! Not a messed up box that looks like it was dropped at every turn. That being said I'll update once we test it and make sure they didn't sell me a broken product and if it does work obviously it'll get 4 stars. Just wish I hadn't been the exception to the rule and gotten one of the messed up ones...

UPDATE:
We've tested it and it does work!!! So thankfully it was just the box that was all messed up!! We decided we won't give it to him in its original packaging as it looks horrible but so long as it works that all that matters!

I think you're a serious gamer this probably isn't the console for you. The series x or PS5 have more power and can run more games at a higher frame rate and at 4k resolutions. With that being said the series s is mostly a gamepass access device. And I think for $300 it offers great value especially when paired with game pass give you access to hundreds of different games. As for performance it's still "next gen" and several games support 120 FPS. If you do have some old titles in your library for example Grand theft Auto V you can now play those at 60 FPS instead of the 30 the original Xbox One played at. I think in a few years this console will likely be outdated in terms of performance. that's just the nature of mid level hardware and the console product life cycle. However as mentioned $300 puts you at a great price point. And considering the alternatives are significantly over MSRP and PC gaming hardware essentially starts at $800 on the second hand market picking one of these up can be a great choice for gaming over the next few years! Also don't forget this is digital games only no DVDs so old Xbox games you may have purchase DVDs for cannot be played on this console. But games you have previously purchased digitally can be brought over to this console and be played no problem.

Me gustó el precio era el mejor comparado en otros sitios, es producto nuevo cerrado, la versión de fornite está con definición 4k gráficos sorprendentes. No me gustó que se tarda en cargar algunos juegos, es necesario expandir la memoria, el pase estaba en promoción y puedo jugar más de 100 juegos. Repito lo malo es la carga de los juegos es lenta.

The console is very small, and pretty light weight. Incredibly fast, super quiet, excellent design. Set up is a breeze. Games look and run fantastic. Controller feels nice. Amazing price for next gen experience. Make sure you subscribe to xbox game pass, that service is incredible, over 300 games to play, it's the netflix of gaming, incredible value, great titles, must buy.

Also can be used as a emulation device to play playstation 1, ps2, Nintendo, Snes, gamecube etc.
Along with older xbox 360, original xbox and xbox one games being compatible, you will never be bored!

Okay, I was beyond skeptics because this was at least 200$ cheaper than wal-mart, Best Buy, game stop and other electronic sellers. But after reading reviews I took a chance and ordered. Well!! I’m not disappointed in the slightest!! Not only is this a legitimate Xbox series S, it works amazing! And delivery was ridiculously FAST!! Thank heavens for Amazon partnering with Microsoft, saved a ton of money!! If you’re skeptics, don’t be! Make that purchase and save some money for a super cute controller or headset!
