Ubisoft have given us an idea of what to expect during the Ubisoft Forward event which will be streamed live on 12th June at 8 PM BST. The big news is that the game formerly known as Rainbow Six Quarantine will open the show with the world premiere of gameplay from the title.
After that we will get more details on Far Cry 6 plus Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Rainbow Six Siege updates, and a look at the Werewolves Within movie that appeared out of nowhere and will be released very shortly. Riders Republic will get a segment, as well the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest which is produced by Ubisoft Film & Television.
Pre show events will include updates for For Honor, Trackmania, The Crew 2, Brawlhalla, Watch Dogs: Legion, while the time after the main show is dedicated to Rainbow Six Siege.
Following the main show, at 9 PM BST, the post-show will include a Rainbow Six Siege Community Briefing to update players on the latest news, plus an in-depth discussion with Siege developers on how they designed the latest addition to the Operator roster, Operation North Star’s Thunderbird. The show will also provide a number of fresh reveals, such as the Y6S2 Streamer Charms, Community Artist Bundle, and Sixth Guardian Charity bundle partnerships. Developers will provide deeper insight into the announcements from the main show, and players will have a chance to win an exclusive Fan Charm via Twitch Drops.
Ubisoft have a habit of dropping a trailer for their next AAA game at the end of their shows but this year might be a little different. We already know what’s coming for Far Cry and Rainbow Six, the current Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs are still being supported and For Honor continues to trundle along. Ubisoft have said they were looking at returning to the Splinter Cell franchise so maybe something from that, or we may even get to see Beyond Good & Evil 2.
There’s also some good news about accessibility, something that is rarely considered during these big online events. “In an ongoing effort to make Ubisoft Forward an accessible show for as many people as possible, watching the main show on ubisoft.com/Forward will give access to subtitles in 12 different languages. Furthermore, the pre-show and main show will be translated into American Sign Language, with the main show audio described in English,” say Ubisoft.
