Report: Overkill’s The Walking Dead console release has been cancelled

Following a turbulent few months for Starbreeze it seems the console version of Overkill’s The Walking Dead has been cancelled. The company had previously reported the game had been ‘delayed indefinitely’ while they reassessed the quality of the product.

TrueAchievements are now reporting that Sony are sending emails out to those who pre-ordered the game which state it has now been cancelled.

Starbreeze and Overkill have not  made any official comment so far.

A few days ago Starbreeze sold the rights to System Shock back to OtherSide Entertainment. The company filed for reconstruction at the start of December 2018, a move that was quickly followed by the arrest of senior staff and allegations of insider trading.

  1. That’s a shame I did like the look of this one. I guess I will just have to wait for Last of Us 2, Dying Light 2 and Days Gone for my Zombie fix.
