Villa never had one, so why should Blues?

IN response to recent letters sent in by Blues fans regarding them having an open-topped bus for winning the League Cup, which was refused by the City Council, I would like to inform them that in my many years as a Villa fan I have seen them win the League Cup on five occasions and can never remember an open-topped celebration.

Although it is a nice little pot to win, it is not held in the same regard as the FA Cup, which has also lost some of its gloss due to greedy TV rights and the Champions League. Many Premier teams do not take the League Cup seriously until the later stages.
