If, that is, you are one of those who is prepared to pay ONdigital for Champions League football but find, incredibly, you cannot sign up because there is no signal in your area. We shall, it seems, have to accept that there are now many events we cannot watch live on television unless we cough up for some subscription channel or other. What we should not have to accept is rights to Europe's premier football competition being sold to organisations who cannot even provide pictures to those willing to pay for them. The likes of Rivaldo are not minority turns.
