A MAN who flouted his court order said he feared losing his job - and getting kicked out of his mum's house. Kieron Turton, also known as Kieron Livesey, was sentenced to the community order for an offence of dangerous driving.

But the 20-year-old failed to show up for an appointment at an attendance centre on June 15, Kirklees magistrates were told.

They heard that he was told verbally to go and sent a warning letter.

Turton, of Beech Avenue in Thongsbridge, was in court in December last year for driving dangerously on various roads in Paddock.

He was sentenced to a community order with 36 hours at an attendance centre and 250 hours of unpaid work, banned from driving for 15 months and ordered to pay court costs.

He admitted failing to comply with the court order - his second breach.

His solicitor Zara Begum explained: "At the time he was having difficulty in terms of work and getting the time off to go to the appointment. That resulted in him being unable to attend.

She said that at the time of the breach her client got work as a labourer but his work was not set hours and he had to attend as and when required.

This meant that he was unable to pay his way at home. He fell into further financial difficulty when he then lost that job, magistrates heard.

They were told that Turton has now moved in with his grandfather, who he helps care for, and secured full-time work.

Magistrates extended Turton's community order by six months, ordered him to complete a 30-day curfew and pay PS50 prosecution costs. The curfew will be electronically-monitored between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
