Sandy Hook Father Wins Lawsuit Against Book Publisher.

Parents of the slain children in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting have had to contend with personalities like conspiracy theorists Alex Jones, who have claimed that the massacre was a hoax. But many of the parents have been pushing back with defamation lawsuits and one parent can now claim a big win.

Lenny Pozner, whose 6-year-old son, Noah, was killed at Sandy Hook, has won his lawsuit against the publisher and authors of the book, (https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/449011-sandy-hook-victims-father-wins-defamation-lawsuit) "Nobody Died at Sandy Hook."

The book, written by James Fetzer and Mike Palacek and published by Moon Rock Books, made several claims against Pozner that he argued were false. It asserted that Noah's death certificate was fake, that Pozner's son never existed and that the Sandy Hook parents were crisis actors. These are similar claims that have been pushed by conspiracy theorists and personalities like Jones.

Pozner's win was (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/sandy-hook-lawsuit-lenny-pozner-father-of-boy-killed-wins-defamation-suit/) handed down by a Wisconsin judge , who agreed that the publisher and authors had actively defamed Pozner and many of the other families. While the authors have mostly remained silent, the publisher has reportedly apologized to Pozner.

"My face-to-face interactions with Mr. Pozner have led me to believe that Mr. Pozner is telling the truth about the death of his son," Moon Rock Books' principal officer Dave Gahary said. "I extend my most heartfelt and sincere apology to the Pozner family."

Moon Rock Books also announced it would no longer be selling the book.

Pozner still has plenty of legal battles ahead of him. He has been at the front of several lawsuits by Sandy Hook parents in states like Connecticut, Florida, Texas and Wisconsin.
