On the same topic Abha-based al-Watan said the visit will positively contribute to further enhancing bilateral relations, and it stands as a witness that the call of King Abdullah to open a new page in the Arab-Arab relations has become a reality. It noted that the visit coincides with the celebrations of the Syrian people with the anniversary of the Arab-Israeli war in 1973. The visit reiterates the fact that bilateral relations will remain strong and moreover it will remind the people with the brave stand of King Faisal during the Arab-Israeli war in 1973. During the Arab-Israeli war King Faisal ordered suspension of exporting oil to Europe and to the US which were extending support to Israel, the daily added. Meanwhile, Jeddah-based al-Madina said the visit aims at completion of the Arab reconciliation.
