We're a nation dedicated to quizzing - and now there's a podcast dedicated to one of our favourite TV genres.

Comedian Lucy Porter (pictured right) is a veteran of various panel shows, from Radio 4's The Personality Test to Pointless Celebrities.

She has teamed up with Jenny Ryan - better known as The Vixen from The Chase - for Fingers On Buzzers.

This is a podcast all about quiz shows and the pair discuss all things quiz-related, from interviews with the cast of some of television's biggest quiz shows, to pub-quiz etiquette and the fundamental difference between quiz shows and game shows.

There's also plenty of opportunities to play along, as Jenny coaches plucky layperson Lucy on the "quiz syllabus".

In turn, Lucy tests the mettle of general knowledge guru Jenny with a weekly pop-quiz.

The pair tackle different aspects of the shows - for example, what makes a good quiz show host? Who are the best examples, and what makes them shine? The pair chat about quiz show audiences and why there's a big difference between quizzing with one and without one.There's also a look at some of the prizes - from the Bullseye Tanker to the famous Blockbuster Jacket.
