North Muslim, North Youngs, Jiay Lal and Shah Faisal qualify for Intra-City Championship.

KARACHI -- North Muslim FC, North Youngs FC, Jiay Lal FC and Shah Faisal FC won their respective eight-team leagues to qualify for Leisure Leagues Karachi Intra-City Championship, which will be held in April this year. At UP Gymkhana Football Ground, two eight-team leagues were held separately. In the first league, North Muslim emerged champions after topping the league's points table. Each team played seven matches. In the second league played at the venue, North Youngs leaped to the top of the points table at the end of the league matches.

Meanwhile at Khajji Ground, Jiay Lal team was the best performing side. Shah Faisal FC won the eight-team league played at Shah Faisal Ground. The winning teams of Intra-City Championships, which will be held in different cities of the country, will qualify for the Leisure Leagues National Championship - tentatively to be held in July. The winning team of Leisure Leagues National Championship will represent Pakistan in the second edition of Socca World Cup, which will be held in Greece in October later this year. Two high-voltage matches were played in Lahore and Karachi when foreign players of other sports including cricket were reluctant to visit Pakistan due to security apprehensions. Leisure Leagues is now organizing different small-sided football events throughout Pakistan in more than a dozen cities. Leisure Leagues is also organizing small-sided football events in schools and colleges as well. Leisure Leagues has also played an important role in establishing International Socca Federation (ISF) and also played an important part in organizing first ever ISF World Cup in Portugal. Leisure Leagues has also established Pakistan Socca Team, which has participated in ISF Socca World Cup and has won 'Fair Play award.
