Kyrgyz President congratulates Putin on Russia Day.

Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov congratulated President of Russia Vladimir Putin on the Russia Day.

Russia Day is the national holiday of the Russian Federation. It has been celebrated annually on June 12 since 1991. It commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic on June 12, 1990. The passage of this Declaration by the First Congress of People's Deputies marked the beginning of constitutional reform in the Russian Soviet state.

Jeenbekov said thanks to Putin's wise and weighted policy, Russia today is a powerful nation respected among international community.

He said expansion of allied and strategic partnership with Russia is important for Kyrgyzstan and wished Russia peace and prosperity.
