Finnair publishes new book on the future of flying.

Finnish airline Finnair Plc announced on 4 November the publication of a new book, 'Departure 2093 - Five visions of future flying'.

The company said that a number of experts have contributed to the book, including: Professor Sirkka Heinonen, a future researcher; Airbus strategist Pascal Huet; Professor of Environmental Change Atte Korhola; Sirpa Juutinen of the auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers; Rainer Von-Wrede of Airbus; journalist Heikki Haapavaara; artist Kauko Helavuo; and IATA's Director of Aviation Environment Paul Steele; along with Airbus experts Henrik Roesner, Joao Frota and Ingo Wuggetzer.

Departure 2093 - Five visions of future flying covers subjects such as such as the environmental impact of flying, the future and growth of air travel and the development of aviation technology.

The book will be on sale in the Academic Bookstore and in the Finnair Shop at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
