FM Qureshi decides not to attend Afghan peace conference in Geneva.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has decided against attending the Afghan peace conference set to take place in Geneva from November 27, Express News reported.

According to diplomatic sources, FM Qureshi was to attend the conference and represent the nation, however, he has now decided not to attend the conference.

A high-level delegation will attend the moot in place of the foreign minister.

Diplomatic sources further claimed that the conference aims to speed up the negotiation process between the Taliban and the US.

The conference will be attended by representatives from Pakistan, the US, Russia, China, and various European countries.

Qureshi will attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kartarpur border corridor on November 28.
