Event to aid paralysed.

MORE than 200 people, including wheelchair users, are climbing Snowdon next Saturday, July 11, to raise awareness of people who are paralysed.

Back Up's annual Snowdon Push consists of one wheelchair-user and up to 16 teammates to help them conquer Snowdon.

Team members must raise at least PS200 with the aim of raising a total of PS40,000 for the spinal cord charity. The charity helps thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds rebuild their confidence and independence after a spinal cord injury.

The starting point for the event is at The Electric Mountain and teams will begin the challenge at 7am. It usually takes five to six hours to complete, with the fastest time being three hours 15 minutes.
