EWART TRIPLE THREAT.

Byline: GARRY OWEN [email protected]

CIVIL UNREST (3.0) can strike for Scottish handler James Ewart on Saltire Raceday at Musselburgh.

The 11-year-old is a decent chaser and should be primed for a big effort back over fences after a fine second to Meadowcroft Boy over timber at Kelso.

The Langholm handler can also take the opening handicap hurdle with THE WISE ONE (12.30). A winner over course and distance last term, the six-year-old will be fighting fit after a respectable run back at the Lothian venue last time.

Ewart could make it three with ANGE DES MALBERAUX (1.0). The seven-year-old probably needed the run when unplaced over two miles at Hexham and is worth a try stepped up in trip.

CANNY STYLE (1.30) can give Kevin Ryan a rare winner over timber in the maiden.

Useful on the level, the filly was just denied by the promising Cesar Collonges on her hurdling debut at Carlisle and is open to plenty of improvement.

Harry Whittington's AFFAIRE D'HONNEUR (2.0) is the call in a trappy novice chase. The six-year-old was a smart handicapper over hurdles and can develop into a better chaser.

LIBBY T VALANCE (1.20) can gun down rivals in the feature handicap hurdle at Taunton. Rebecca Curtis's mare was third in a decent 2m 4f event at Bangor and should come on plenty over three miles.

LOVELY JOB (1.50) can continue Fergal O'Brien's dream run in the Betfred.com Chase.

The seven-year-old has taken well to fences and can build on his excellent second behind runaway winner Vintage Clouds at Aintree last time.

WHO'S MY JOCKEY (1.40) can score for the powerful Hobbs-Johnson axis at Towcester.

The exciting four-year-old relished the step up to 2m 4f when bolting up at Uttoxeter and will take all the beating on his handicap bow.

BALLYARTHUR (3.10) can aid Nigel Twiston-Davies's title challenge in the novices' chase.

The gelding was a fair third behind Vintage Clouds at Aintree despite not staying 3m 1f and can go two better dropped back to a stiff 2m 4f.

| Tom George could let Double Shuffle take up his entry in the King George VI Chase should the ground be favourable at Kempton on Boxing Day.

The Slad trainer said: "I know it's a shot in the dark but he loves that track - he ran a big race when second in the BetBright Chase."
