COURT IN BRIEF.

AMONG the cases dealt with by Teesside Magistrates' Court on March 24 were: Nicola Jayne Adams, 22, of Broadway East, Redcar, given an 18-month community order with rehabilitation requirement and ordered to pay PS145 costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and assault.

Robert Fraser, 35, of Prior Court, Billingham, given a 12-month community order with rehabilitation require ment, a restraining order and ordered to pay PS60 costs for breaching a non-molestation order.

Arxawan Najat Ibrahimi, 25, of Yarm Road, Stockton, given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS100 costs for drunk and disorderly behaviour. Mark Andrew Blackburn, 27, of Lavender Road, Middlesbrough, jailed for 23 weeks, given a restraining order and ordered to pay PS418 compensation for assault. Luke Macauley Blake, 20, of Carlow Street, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with attendance centre and supervision requirements, banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay PS800 compensation for driving without an appropriate licence, using a vehicle without insurance, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident to police.

Paul Clarke, 43, of rushwood Crescent, Marske, given a 12-month community order with 80 hours' unpaid work requirement and ordered to pay PS110 costs for possessing a Class B drug.

Steven Anthony Greenbury, 48, of Borough Road, Middlesbrough, given a 20-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay PS100 compensation and PS85 costs for breaching a restraining order.

Amy Leigh Roberts, 21, of Rossett Walk, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with rehabilitation PSrequirement and ordered to pay PS50 compensation and PS85 costs for assault.

Stephen Crozier, 49, of Borough Road, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with rehabilitation PSrequirement and ordered to pay PS60 costs for breaching an anti-social behaviour order and begging.

Matthew Maughan, 24, of Ellerby Green, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with supervision requirement and 'ned PS35 with PS145 costs for theft. Paul David Fenwick, 21, of Somerset Road, Middlesbrough, jailed for 24 weeks, given a 12-month restraining order and ordered to pay PS80 costs for assault, criminal damage, and breaching a suspended sentence and a non-molestation order.

Maccauley Anthony Joseph, 18, of Portman Street, Middlesbrough, given an eight-week young o'enders' institution sentence suspended for 12 months with 60 ' hours' unpaid work and supervision requirements and ordered to pay PS165 costs for failing to comply with a community order, dishonestly made o' without having paid a taxi fare, failing to surrender to custody, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, breaching a conditional discharge and theft.

Lucas John Taylor, 34, of Greenland Avenue, Middlesbrough, jailed for 18 weeks and ordered to pay PS50 costs and PS50 compensation for breaching an anti-social behaviour order and theft.

Aaron Chris omas Dunn, 24, of Overdale Road, Middlesbrough, jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay PS80 costs for criminal damage and theft.

Luke Andrew Wright, 21, of Coronation Street, Yarm, given a 24-month community order with programme and rehabilitation requirements, a 24-month restraining order, 'ned PS100 and ordered to pay PS380 compensation for criminal damage and breaching a conditional discharge.
