CIBS Celebrates 70th Members Only Luncheon and Announces 2018 Officers.

CIBS celebrated its 70th Members Only Luncheon on Wednesday November 8th at the Harvard Club in NYC. Along with the networking festivities, the membership approved the suite of 2018 officers. Current president Myoschi Oriol addressed the membership and updated the group on the year and thanked them for their support. Incoming president Benny Calderone accepted the position and briefly spoke about his plans for 2018. For the year ahead, officers include: Benny Calderone, president; Jenifer Brady, vice president; Judy Vincenty, treasurer; Balla Murillo, recording secretary; Allyson Tobin, corresponding secretary.

CIBS INDUCTS DOZENS OF NEW MEMBERS

On October 11, CIBS held its New Members luncheon at the Manhattan Club above Rosie O'Grady's. It was the largest new member group in recent memory.

CIRCLE OF CHAMPIONS HONORS NICOLAS MIRZAYANTZ

"We were warned it would be a lovefest," said Linda Levy, president of The Fragrance Foundation, as she took the podium at the organization's Circle of Champions dinner to celebrate Nicolas Mirzayantz, group president, Fragrances, IFF. Industry luminaries--John Demsey, Andreas Fibig, Carlos Benaim,Ann Gottlieb, and Leonard Lauder--all brought their best stories and warmest wishes for the executive, who through his work with IFF, has impacted every corner of the industry.

His many credits for fragrances include Estee Lauder Beautiful, Estee Lauder Youth Dew, Donna Karan Cashmere Mist, Aramis, Clinique Happy, Clinique Aromatics Elixir and Tom Ford fragrances.

Offering his congratulations to Mirzayantz, Demsey, executive group president of the Estee Lauder Companies, said: "Dignity, class, elegance, a global view. To the fragrance industry, you truly are a champion."
