Byline: PIERS TOWNLEYPut yourself in the picture with a cult camera from Russia
If you're fed up of digital, try the Lomo camera website. What this led to was praise among arty types for blurred, weird-effect pictures - and the sturdy cameras took off. Now you can buy cameras that take motion capture-type pictures for pounds 30. They have four lenses each, firing off just after one another. Find out more on www.lomo.com

Hewlett Packard are promoting a mini, portable photo lab in a bid to cream off the huge sales in digital cameras this Christmas. They've designed the p100 printer and c318 digital camera to be compatible and self- contained, no downloading to a PC before you print out your snaps. The printer will read CompactFlash?, SmartMedia? and Sony MemoryStick? memory cards so chances are your current camera will work with it. The camera is pounds 179 on its own, the printer pounds 129.
Nose for fuzzaway

THE new Nokia 5510, the most eagerly awaited mobile, should be available before Christmas. It combines all the elements of the phone technology out there with a handheld console feel much like the game boy family. This means that mobile gaming, such as Snake II and Space Impact already on the phone, will be much easier to play, with new levels available on the Nokia site. If you're a fan of SMS text messaging, and the statistics indicate the majority of us are, it's also going to be a cinch.
The 5510 has 64MB of memory to store MP3s that you've downloaded from your PC and it also comes with a built-in FM radio. A choice of colour schemes should seal the whole lot as the must-have phone for this Christmas. More info: www.nokia.com

The new Thomson Video Sender allows you to direct the TV output, including video, camcorder, DVD and other such signals, to another television in another room. Long gone, then, the days of fighting over who's watching what, but the unit also doubles up as a baby-minder sending live pictures and sounds.
Of course, you can use it unscrupulously as well, but that's not what the manufacturers boast about. The fact that it's wireless with an 80 metre range adds to its usefulness.
It costs pounds 149.99 and stockists details can be found by ringing 01732520920.
