31 August 2012 - Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) (OTC: BKHYY), Israel's leading financial group, announced financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012, showed net profit of NIS 607 million compared to NIS 659 million in the first quarter of 2012.

Profit from regular financing activity totaled NIS 2,025 million in the second quarter of 2012, compared with a profit of NIS 1, 929 million in the previous quarter, an increase of 5.0%. The financial margin from regular activity rose to 2.38% in the second quarter of 2012, compared with 2.29% in the previous quarter.

Operating and other expenses totaled NIS 2,118 million in the second quarter of 2012 compared with NIS 2,104 million in the previous quarter, an increase of 0.7%.

The consolidated balance sheet as at June 30, 2012 totaled NIS 362.1 billion, compared with NIS 356.7 billion at the end of 2011, an increase of 1.5%.
