The speaker office has issued
production order of only two members while the rest of the members have not been given permission.
It added that despite of issuance of her
production order, the minister was not being allowed to attend the session.
ISLAMABAD -- The Supreme Court on Monday ordered for an open court hearing of a petition against the issuance of
production orders for detained members by the speakers of national and provincial assemblies.
Referring to the Sindh Assembly's
production order, she said, 'The speaker of this house has issued
production orders for MPA Faryal Talpur on August 16.
The
production orders were issued for the leaders who are facing inquiries, so that they can attend the National Assembly session.

production orders for its arrested members.
LAHORE -- Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser on Friday issued details of
production orders issued for the Members National Assembly (MNAs), who are in custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Thegovernmenton Monday stopped issuance of
production orders for Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique, barring them from attending the National Assembly and standing committee meetings.
According to media reports, the ban on meetings was imposed in an attempt to stop the
production orders of the lawmakers who are in custody over corruption charges or other criminal cases.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is reported to have asked the Law Ministry to examine and review the
Production Orders for arrested MNAs and MPAs and see whether those facing criminal charges on corruption and other accounts should continue to avail this facility.
The debate of the issuance of
Production Order sparked after the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had requested for the
Production Order of former president Asif Ali Zardari, however, the government had expressed reservations over it.
Announcing his ruling in the Senate, he said the Leader of the Opposition in Senate Raja Zaraf-ul-Haq had submitted the requisition notice, requesting that a
Production Order be issued in respect of Senator Kamran Michael to attend proceeding of the House during the current session.
