Classic Ernie Ball Tone!

Ernie Ball strings have been a top choice for players of all types since the early 1960s, when guitarists came into Ernie Ball’s music store, customizing their string gauges to make their axes easier to play. After fruitless attempts to interest major guitar manufacturers in a lighter set of strings, Ernie Ball decided to start making his own. When you open a pack of his strings today, you know you’re getting a quality set of strings designed to give you great tone, reliable performance, and long life. You can’t go wrong when you string up with Ernie Ball strings!

Ernie Ball’s Ultra Slinky electric guitar strings are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a tin-plated, hex-shaped steel core wire. Featuring a custom set of string gauges, Ultra Slinky strings combine the lighter playability of Regular Slinkys with the girthy punch of Power Slinky strings. They offer a great balanced sound that’s neither too bright nor too dark.

Balanced Solution

I'm fairly new to playing guitar (Strat) and started with 9/42 from different manufacturers. China 9/42 strings were bright but not resonant. EB 9/42 were less bright and highly resonant. EB 10/48 are in the middle. I like a firmer feel of the 48 E and find the GBE strings pretty bright. I recommend giving these a try, especially for $.

ULTRA SLINKIES: My Go-To From Day One

My first time ever in a music store, I was instantly drawn to those neon packages. I grabbed a set and never looked back. I've never had issues with breaking, tuning, or playability. I love the effortless feel, dynamic tone, and iconic aesthetic! Slinkies are my ride-or-die and I'm proud to play 'em!!

This is the set I've needed

I find reg slinkys too slack on the bottom on my LP. This set solves that problem being just a little heavier on the bottoms. The "heavy bottom" set is too much for standard tuning.

Better than Regular Slinky

I got these strings out of curiosity and wasn't expecting much difference from regular slinky. And I'm glad I was wrong. These strings feel great and being 2 gauges thicker on the lower 3 strings does make a big acoustic and feel difference. My chords feel bigger and better. It feels like the perfect string gauge for standard tuning. My chords have so much more power behind them.

Best String Set I've ever tried

These string have been the best ones I've tried so far
They are my favorite pack of strings
They're perfect for almost any tuning
With this set I managed to tune up to G standard and then down to drop A#
But I mainly play in E standard and D standard
The bass strings sound big and fat and can really take a beating
While the treble strings are nice and bendable great for lead playing
Highly recommend
