My favorite
This string set is perfect. Long lasting, good sounding and smooth, clean feel.
Very enjoyable set of string gauges
The light tops and medium bottoms make for cleaner sounding chords on my Mustang. The Nickel winding holds up really well even in humidity.
Great Strings
I like 9's on my guitars because I've always just used 9's, but I noticed that the heavier 46's in the hybrid slinkies are easier to play fast downpicking riffs on than 42's. I have two guitars (both 25.5 scales) and the one with 9-42's is just harder to downpick with than the one with 9-46's. I like having the lighter high strings for bending but still having no trouble playing James Hetfield riffs like I do with 9-42's.
Great Guitar Strings
I've been using Ernie Balls for several years of active playing and they provide great tone, stability and life at very good prices, no gimmicks just solid performers.
Do not buy!!!!!!!!
Tuning stability goes down hill with these strings and I broke one less than a month after putting them on.
